If the 13 colonies had not rebelled against their King, then they would have remained a part of the British Commonwealth, and, thereby, been involved in WW I and WW II automatically.
But after their victory and separation from that Commonwealth, those same colonies chose to become involved in WW I, even though they were not mandated to do so. So, really, the American Revolution was to no avail in regards to keeping the USA out of European war.
The USA’s involvement in WW I led to the very disadvantageous peace that was forced on Germany. And that led directly to WW II. So what use to us was the American Revolution? None at all, really.
