Does anyone here really believe that the Pope is the AntiChrist?

This will be used by the vatican ( and the seeds of this have been deeply buried) and the mahdi(anti-christ). The world’s population is millions and milllions of muslims and the rest, for the most part, are secular unbelievers or those luke warmers,or other non-christians. ( torah jews are a whole other story, being protected by God).

This false mary speaks a false message that binds anti-christ and the false prophet to form this one world religion, one world government, one world money system. Join or die by beheading. The apparations could be in fatima, or, could be in jerusalem near the Dome of the Rock.

As i catholic, I am not fearful or ashamed. Why should i be? The christians in my church hold no responsiblity for the future acts of evil men. Prophecy will be fullfilled as it must so that Our Lord can return.

The key here is this is a false pope who fulfills the prophecy of the false phropeht, who will be given certain powers by anti-christ( the indwelled of ) satan to perform miracles.

There are two beasts in end times prophecy. The first is anti-christ, the second is the false prophet.

i hope you will understand this: mixing faith is not a good idea. take the Jews for example. you do not go outside looking for the Truth. the Truth is within the Church found by Christ only.

protestants have a distorting enterpretation of Scriptures. Scriptures are protected by Christ to His Church only.

why do you then join those against the CC?

since when pentecostes have authority to enterpret Scriptures? learn discernment through the CC to know the Truth. plus why do you read anything but what your faith teaches?

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I don’t agree, but appreciate you responding to my request to provide the basis for your belief.

You may be very interested in a tap series I’ve listened to before. I believe it was produced by St. Joseph Communications entitled something like “Rapture Exposed”. It was really facinating to me and it may be of interest to you. It will certainly give you the Catholic perspective of the End Times.

Those documents would disagree that the Pope is the Anti-Christ or disagree that the Pope is Not the Anti-Christ? I’m confused.

To anyone who thinks the Pope is the Anti-Christ, which pope? Is it always the current pope? If so, the world has sure had a heck of a lot of anti-christs. 😛

I love that quote! It is totally what I believe.

I am curious about what basis those who belief the opposite of us have for believing that the Pope is the Anti-Christ since there is SO much in the Bible, in History and in the teachings of the Early Christians which teach the Catholic Church was established by Christ Himself and is led by the successor of St. Peter.

I re-read all of the “banned topic” lists just in case you were correct, but discovered that asking someone to give the basis for their belief (If the Pope is the Anti-Christ) or any other belief is not banned. Questioning the sincerity of someone’s belief is banned, but I am in no way questioning anyone’s sincerity. I request that no one on this forum do that here.

Everyone has a reason for his/her beliefs and that is what I want to get down to the bottom of - why do people believe this? And whether or not anything could possibly change their mind on the subject.

Those two documents both state that the pope is the antichrist. What I wanna know is, which one?
 
The Pope is not the antichrist. In fact, I loved the work of John Paul II. He was a holy man, and a fellow Christian brother. 🙂

As Daniel says, the Antichrist must come from north of Israel. Rome is more west than north. 🙂

Could I respectfully ask how this relates to the discussion? I honestly do not see how this is relative to the discussion.

Once again, read the Book of Concord and the Westminster Confessions. It’s all right there. Please see the sarcasm. Seriously, these references do say that the Pope is the Anti-Christ. I do not get it, but look it up.

Nero was not the antichrist. Proof? John said that the book of Revelation was concerning “thing to pass”. Read the first few chapter of the book. You’ll see it. Revelation was written after Nero. 👍

it was written in the reogn of Nero and it did come to pass

Okay, now that my initial shock has subsided, please tell me why you believe the Pope is the AntiChrist?

Is there any historical or Biblical evidence or any quotes from the Early Church Christians to back up your belief that the Pope is the AntiChrist?

If you were shown evidence, including historical, Biblical and quotes from the Early Church Christians which clearly proves that the Pope is NOT the AntiChrist, would you be will to study it with an open mind?

Is there anything that could change your mind on your belief?

(Please no bashing anyone on this forum. I would like to see an honest exchange of reasons for belief.)

Not at this time, I think all the inbacile are in bed by now DD and Hisalone are the only ones I can think of that believe the pope is the Anti-Christ and may be some one from the SDA, do you think we have a few more ignoramus that think Or Pope is the AntiChrist, DA I do not not think so.

Indeed, it was written during his reign. And there are two different versions of the manuscript… some have the Mark of the Beast as being 666, others as 616. Interestingly, both of these when put into Hebrew in which numbers correspond to letters, add up to his name. The prophecies also resemble his reign very well, the actual mark without which man could not ‘buy or sell’ may well have been Roman coinage.
