If it is the teaching of the Catholic church that the Son of God does not have a divine soul, than it makes every bit of sense why the NAB only refers to the soul (nephesh) of God
once in their English translation. Where in the scriptures does it say that God’s Spirit is ‘well pleased’, or ‘abhors’, or ‘loves’? It is a shame that the theology of the Son of God cis hampered by such poor English translation of a very important word. A word that first occurs in Gen.2:7.
