Hello All,
My Opinion as a muslim would be that Muhammed taught the same morality as Jesus ,Peace be upon them all .
The reason i think that is because they are prophets from teh same God.
However , Jesus had different missions than Muhammed. he was sent to believing people but ones who need reformation. He was not assigned to bring his message to the whole world but to the people of Israel.
This is a major difference.
Morality is definetly relative. When we know it from God himself on Judgement day will be absoloute because then he will be the judge of us all.
Right now my morality says that women should be covering their hair when outside. Many Christians disagree . Even though we care about the same thing which is modesty we still have differences. So Morality isnt different because Muslims chose it to be that way for them, it is because thats just the way it is.
God doesnt condones immorality. But he condoned Cane and able marrying their sisters. At the time it wasnt immoral. Now it is.
Many Christians talk about how immoral heaven is in muslim minds. Bodily flesh and stuff.
whats the problem with that exactly? If God sanctioned one to marry a lady and have a bodily sweaty naked lustfull relationship with her every now and then . Why wouldnt he sanction it in heaven? He sees us there and here .
The immorality comes when doing an act of injustice. if the girl that i am marrying i am going to be abusive or her or treat her badly thats immoral. But certainly Jacob wasnt immoral when he married many wives. From Jacob ancestry comes Jesus PBUH. Is Jesus the child of an immoral act?
God created us the way we are. Certain mindset, certain physical abilities, certain lusts, certain desires, certain needs, certain emotions.
That is how we are created on this earth and life. In heaven he can change circumstances and cause change our perception from things to be immoral to moral.
Lets say God gives me a palace in heaven , with lovely gardens and a stream beside us with lovely breeze coming by and a sea view. Lets say he gave me 10 great beutiful happy and friendly wives. What is immoral in that ?
Some peopl here i wont convince obviously because they dont want to be . But i urge you to look objectively.
Whatever God accepts is moral and what ever he doesnt is immoral. The Question lies in what did God accept and what he didnt . and obviously because we have different faiths then you would disagree with me.
many people who are critical of islam never ask themselves certain questions. Like why this ‘’ sword weilding warlord’’ died poor and inneed for money to feed his family? while he could have had any thing he wanted. Why did this sword wielding warlord didnt accept the offer from the Pagants at his time to make him their king and richest and to marry their most beautiful and noble in return that he stops preaching for the God of Abraham.
Why did he leave all this for an uncertain adventure that he doesnt know what is the result of and that he didnt benefit from in his life?! ( If he is a just a mere sword weilding warlord)
God commands us to use our brain and honesty to reach him .
Didnt Muhammed forgive all the Meccans who fought him in war?
Didnt he go to visit his jewish neighbor who used to throw garbage in his yard every day ?
Didnt he look away with his face many times whenever a lady come to him to confess that she sinned and want to be cleansed?
Whatever you have as a sign of Morality in Jesus we also have in Islam. It is just many people dont like to know it or mention it. Jesus made a browl by casting the money lenders out of the temple right? wasnt he using violence? Couldnt he just ask them to leave nicely!
Its silly, really silly to go around hunting for incidents and misinterpreting them in order to demonise the other.
Finally i say again. Whatever God sanctioned as Moral IS Moral. Just because Jesus didnt do it doesnt mean its wrong.
