DOJ Designates New York City as an ‘Anarchist Jurisdiction'

FWIW I lived in the Bronx when there was an average of 8 to 10 homicides a day.

I remember graffiti covered trains, not being able to go to Times Square because it was too dangerous.

I remember one day not being able to renew my drivers license because the DMV had been vandalized over night.

I remember “The Summer of Sam” even though I was just a child. And the black out of ‘77.

If it wasn’t an “Anarchist Jurisdiction” then, it isn’t one now.

I don’t know what an ‘anarchist zone’ is, but I work in Manhattan every day, and I feel no less safe than I did before the pandemic. . . .

Plenty of signs that this is a correct decision. Over 80 arrested days ago in one day. New Yorkers not liking the direction the city is going in.

I have not seen any evidence of that. And I spend every day with New Yorkers.

all i know is i don’t see any nightly news helicopter footage of the so called riots like i did with the Rodney King Riots in LA.

Rigggghtttt…yeah, I didn’t know trying to set buildings on fire was ‘peaceful’ protesting, especially for 100+ days straight. But hey, you keep believing what you want to believe, champ.

… which your beloved democrats want so much.
You assumed. You assumed wrong. Not everyone is blindly partisan. If you had been here longer than this election cycle, you would understand that her posting history is much more Catholic than it is Democrat or Republican. I sympathize because I have had many similar assumptions made about me.
Are you and your Antifa friends…
What is it with all the wild assumptions and ad hominem insults here? Antifa friends? If I were to ask you how your Nazi friends were doing, wouldn’t you see that as wrong? It would be. So maybe apply the Golden Rule and treat others as you would want to be treated.

First of all, I’m not a Nazi whatsoever. Second of all, it’s not far off from the truth considering all the recent tweets from democrats who’ve stated they want to burn it all down if Trump replaces RBG. Not to mention the innumerable riots by Antifa in the last several months…

Well I know for a fact there are no ‘anarchist zones’ here. I would know about it if there were. People here are more concerned about rashly re-opening the schools before they’ve been properly adapted for social distancing. And fearful of a second surge of the virus as the weather turns colder. But no one is talking about fear of anarchists.

And I know for a fact that that is anecdotal again. I am not knocking or disrespecting that. I am saying, that’s what it is. Does one know the definition of an anarchist jurisdiction? Yet, already one says it isn’t one.

Okay, can you tell me where this anarchist jurisdiction is? Because this is the first I’ve heard of it.

I’m surprised you’re so quick to dismiss whatever I say as someone who actually lives and works in this area. I don’t know where you live, but if someone were posting something about it I would certainly want to hear your perspective as a local with local knowledge.

The TV said it was anarchy. The TV wouldn’t be wrong about something.

I do watch the local television news occasionally, and I just checked the local ABC affiliate’s website in case I missed something, but no, nada about an anarchist uprising, it must be an awfully quiet affair.

You’ve just revealed your mistake. Why are you bothering to watch local coverage when you could be watching cable news and Youtube videos?

Of course you are not. But you also have zero reason to say some one you do not know is friends with antifa. This is not an antifa website

Maybe on the West Side?

You know very well people are leaving in droves and it’s not because of schools or viruses. I know 4 people who just sold houses in Suffolk as soon as they hit market and every single person who came to look at houses were from the city. It has very much to do with an open communist as mayor who speaks about redistributing wealth, and has for many years now, created a hostile attitude to NYPD. Anarchy? I’d say standing by as mobs destroy property and terrorize citizens and then actually CUT funding to police, is enough anarchy for me that’s for sure.
