Donald Trump Jr emails show Russia communication

Trump Jr. should certainly be held accountable, but I don’t think anyone who has been following the media should be shocked by what he did. It was pretty obviously for those with eyes to see that Trump was running a dirty campaign that benefited from Russian meddling from the start. What is truly shocking is how many Americans were willing to go along with it. And worse than that, how many *self professed Christians * are still willing to go along with it.

I kept telling the folks at Church you can’t make bargains with the devil - no matter how “tempting” it is when you so desperately want to defend the lives of the unborn. A stolen Supreme Court seat isn’t worth selling your soul, especially when abortion rates are at their lowest since 1973. But their hearts were hardened and they wouldn’t listen.
The irony is that now abortion rates are going up, at least in Texas

If Kushner and Trump Jr are that incomptent and/or naive when it comes to** Russia**, they both should have their security clearance revoked and be fired.

The NYT has indicated that its sources are senior WH advisors. I am guessing Junior’s brother-in-law.
Nepotism in the WH=not healthy for the country. Too much of the oligarchy feel to it.

Probably someone inside the White House leaked it. There seems to be a lot coming from them.
Keep in mind that “someone inside the White House” would include Trump Jr himself, as hacked previously at Trump Tower. Like all unattributed anti-Trump “news”, these things are not dated. Possibly that’s what the reference really is. Emails sent and received from Trump Tower would not ordinarily be in the White House for some “deep stater” to purloin. They would, however, be at Trump Tower.

There might be much less “leaking” and a lot more “tapping” and “hacking” than we have been led to believe. After all, the DNC did hire a professional “spy service” to spy on the Trump campaign. That’s admitted. And they might still be on the payroll, for all we know.

It’s too bad the Dems have disabled the FBI from investigating anything but Trump and perhaps not even him. Mueller and CrowdStrike seem to be the replacements.

Y’know, if I was a Dem partisan like you, I would consider this: If the left treats Trump, his family and his associates with the viciousness they do, what in the world makes you think they think any better of you? Why do you think you’re not held in the same contempt as the “deplorables” and “bitter clingers” who are more like you than you are like those elites who utter such epithets in unguarded moments?

How do you define who is elite and who isn’t?

I think I would be slow to say that if I were still a Democrat. Neither of them, as far as we know, was ever paid a dime by Russians or sold strategic resources to the Russians for money. Neither of them actually hired a “spy service” to collude with Russian “informants” to concoct a fake “dossier” on political opponents. Neither destroyed potential evidence or defied the then president of the United States in mishandling top secret information. Neither accepted millions from foreigners to grant “most favored nation” status to one of the nation’s adversaries, to the disadvantage of American workers. Neither accepted millions to shut up about abuse of women in a foreign society.

Yes, I think I would be slow to say it.

That terminology would, of course, include a hack of Kushner. Kushner is the “source” because the Dems hacked Trump Tower and got the emails. How many “senior white house advisors” have access to computers at Trump Tower?

No, this is a hack job, and the NYT or the DNC has had those emails for quite some time.

And we lose sight of the Trump campaign seeking to gain damaging information on their political opponent from a foreign government after spending months lying about it.

I doubt it. This terminology is typically used for oral report as opposed to “documents from”.

If there a basis for this claim, apart from your imagination - even some fake news?

Good legal maneuvering. Deny something you haven’t been officially accused of. That should make you feel better at least.

Yes. Junior gets oddly kudos for transparency, after caught dissembling.

The damaging information came later but they did get something of value from attending the meeting.

But it worked for JFK right?
Why do you keep looking to the past?

Kushner and Trump Jr by their actions have demonstrated that they are either incompetent and/ or naive.

Their security clearance should be revoked, and they should be fired. If they were not related to Sr., they would have been.

It’s really that simple.

Do you know for sure Trump’s campaign was ever asked whether they were ever approached by a Russian who had nothing to tell them? If not, then it’s just wrong to accuse everybody in the Trump campaign of “lying”.

And I’ll say again, if somebody approached any reasonably loyal American saying they had “source” evidence of very serious crimes in high places in government, he/she would be derelict in refusing it.

If the Russki lawyer really had evidence of a quid pro quo connecting Russian payment of millions to the Clintons and the sale of 20% of America’s uranium reserves to Russia, anybody who cared a thing about his country would want it brought forward.

What did Trump Jr say he would have done if Veletsnitskaya had the real stuff? He said he would have taken it to the authorities. So would I. So would most any American worth the powder it would take to blow his nose.

And if Veletnitskaya had absolute proof that Hillary Clinton approved sale of 20% of America’s uranium reserves for the millions the Kremlin gave her, Kushner and Trump Jr would be hailed as heroes who cracked one of the most odious cases of official corruption in American history.

It’s really that simple.
