I didn’t vote because I am still undecided. I will have a clearer picture after the first debate.

Yet we today have a President that hates the USA. Go figure.
He certainly is doing a top job of bringing her down and may yet end up completely destroying her. I mourn her and all her losses, all of our losses…

Any man who is best known for building a casino that LOST money is not fit to manage a country’s finances.

Any man who rails against immigrants when 2 out of his last 3 spouses are immigrants is also a hypocrite.
His issue is with illegal immigrants; not immigrants in general.

Indeed. America welcomes immigrants. It is the illegal aliens and illegal alien felons that we need to find an effective way to keep from coming in and creating chaos.

Yes he has done a good job. I feel like I have been trying to drive my car and keep it on the road and he has continuously “jerked the wheel” trying to drive me into the ditch. I feel “beat down” and really worn out from trying to stay on my own path while he tries to derail everything!

I wish I could disagree, but I cannot. I think what I most often feel now is sadness and loss, sometimes accompanied by stunned disbelief that whatever the latest happens to be could happen. I know we are called to be hopeful, but I continue to have a very difficult time with that…

My guess is that Trump will be unable to sustain his initial popularity over the long haul.

I didn’t vote in the poll either. Maybe I will feel stronger about someone after the debates begin. I hope to know more by then and, as you indicated, have a more clear picture of candidates and positions.

I really do like Carson from what I know of him. But, I’m not sure he is presidential since he is a doctor and not a politician and I would guess many people don’t know him at all, so he lacks name recognition, so I don’t know if he could actually win an election. But, with that being said, he cannot possibly lack experience any more than Obama did and Carson’s known values match mine whereas Obama’s do not at all with one possible exception.

Rubio has potential. Walker maybe. Bush and Huckabee maybe. Sadly, I’m not really fired up or confident about anyone, though, at least not at this time. I fear the Democrats will win again. Sigh. If that happens, I think we are truly finished, never to rise again from the ashes of a once-great and noble nation that has been reduced to ruin.

I don’t know how this conversation switched to Obama, and I don’t know why people are obsessively angry with him.

I mean, he said he was going to do stuff during the campaign…then was elected, and promptly did most the stuff he said was going to do. This irritated a lot of people…who, nevertheless, promptly re-elected him.

I know he’s a popular focus for the daily conservative Two Minute Hate, but if–if–he’s considered a failure, then it is a failure of the electorate, not necessarily of him. As the saying goes, don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Things could change, but unfortunately, with the way things are looking, my vote will not so much be FOR someone, but AGAINST someone. I talked to a friend yesterday who indicated that if Bush ends up being our guy, she wouldn’t vote. I told her that I hoped she changed her mind, that she holds her nose and votes for Bush if he turns out to be the candidate, rather than chooses not to vote at all since that will, in effect, be a vote for Hillary (or Sanders or whoever). I reminded her that people felt that way about Romney (and McCain before him) and didn’t vote at all during the past two Presidential elections and look at the surreal results of those elections. I was stunned (and still am) that Obama could be elected twice. The first time was a bit more understandable, historic election, and all, blah, blah, blah, but after seeing his “leadership”, I thought people would wake up. I felt like I was living in Bizarro world when I learned he was elected yet again. I still feel like a stranger living in a strange land most of the time now…
So what Is your solution to this alleged problem. ?

Possibly. I don’t really see him as a serious candidate, as someone electable. We’ll see. Unless, of course, BO decides he still wants to be king and just decides to stay and rule for a third term or a lifetime…

😛

Yes, I am kidding.

Sort of. At this point, nothing would surprise me…

Actually, I think the lecture circuit is calling BO. There all will be supporters and he will be pampered and paid nicely for sharing his opinions and he can leave behind the hassles of being in office.

I voted for one candidate in the last poll, another one this time. Our votes are not set in granite and to an extent, some of the candidates are similar. In fact, out of the fifteen or sixteen candidates, probably 13 of them, I find very supportable, the other 3 I might have some questions about.

He also won’t release his financial information. He tends to be secretive about his net worth.

I’m still leaning towards Jeb. I liked Christie but he seems like a better local politician than a national one.

Christie is pro-life, his wife is pro-life, they defunded Planned Parenthood, you wouldn’t find Christie saying something like “God Bless Planned Parenthood”.
Who would vote for someone who would say such an atrocious thing?

Christie has faced down a lot of criticism. To accuse him of corruption seems totally unwarranted acknowledging that a number of governors, even Walker let alone Jindal, have run into problems whereas the way their state’s economy is.

Actually, I think Trump is making his financial records available. He may have already done that.

I think “corruption” is a fair description of Bridgegate and the Port Authority patronage thing. His handling of the Hurricane Sandy money was entirely dubious, as well.

Trump has already released his financial information. 🤷

He is worth $4.5 billion

He released his financial info yesterday

First off, those charges are not proven nor any role by Christie. That is really just something we’d hear MSNBC or someone like that speak about. He is in office, the idea of indicting him as not even been dreamed of.

Secondly, considering that the way your point of view comes across, makes it sound as if you would vote for Hillary, really, talking about corruption and how the Clintons have been able to mass millions, let alone, someone who has been dragged before congress, loses her email server and so on.
