I don’t know if a medical professional is bound to “recommend” another practitioner if that medical professional (Doctor Carson in this case) refuses to do an operation. Sounds possible.

Here is an article about Dr. Carson and interview:

Surely this is a joke? Donald Trump??? This guy is infamous for his arrogant buffonary even in Scotland where he has built numerous luxury golf courses in the Highlands. He does not strike me as Presidential material.

Rubio and Christie appeal to me the most.
I simply cannot believe anyone takes him seriously.

I’d sooner cast my vote for Max Headroom.

Dr. Carson comes off as an extremely intelligent but politically naive individual. He has never proved that he could win an elective office. His whacking of Obama at that breakfast, which much of America cheered, illustrated his mettle and courage, but I doubt that will be enough for him to seriously challenge for the nomination.
Interestingly, Cal Thomas–who generally despises Obama and his policies–unloaded on Carson for turning a non-partisan event into an excuse to attack the President.

I can see Cal’s point of view, but I am thankful that Dr. Carson used his ONE opportunity to do what he could to save America from our Communist-inspired Obama"care" medical fiasco. Obama is too fearful to actually debate his destructive policies. He announces them, and then runs for cover, knowing the drive-by leftist media will concoct propaganda to fool the people for him. Rob

Carly Fiorina: Hillary Clinton’s Abortion Stance Is "Extreme… It Is Not A Life Until It Leaves The Hospital"
CARLY FIORINA: Let’s talk about the legislation that is sitting on the Senate floor right now. Let’s also talk about Hillary Clinton’s position. Let’s talk about what extreme is. It is not a life until it leaves the hospital. That is Hillary Clinton’s position. It is Hillary Clinton’s position that a 13 year old girl needs her mother’s permission to go to a tanning salon or a tattoo, but not to get an abortion.
It is Hillary Clinton’s position that women should not be permitted to look at an ultrasound before an abortion and yet people who harvest body parts can use an ultrasound to make sure those body parts are preserved so they can be sold…
My position is very clear, it has been clear and consistent… yes I support exceptions, but the majority of the Americans now believe that abortion for any reasion at all to be paid for by tax payers after 5 months in an abomination… this video tape is depraved.

A lot of people applaud what Carly said.

I have now seen one poll where one could pick 3 candidates, that actually works fairly well because I would gather a number of people have their 2 favorites or more. Perhaps the poll was weighted in a way, giving more importance to who you first vote for, then #2 and then #3.

Couldn’t find a real mainstream source on this but if one should show up, I will try to post it.

Would this bother someone in voting, I am torn because I don’t like to jump to hasty conclusions, if this Bloomberg foundation is connected to Michael Bloomberg, I knew he was a big Planned Parenthood supporter:
**Jeb Bush was director of philanthropy that gave tens of millions to Planned Parenthood
**
NEW YORK, July 30, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) - Until the eve of his presidential campaign, Jeb Bush was director of a philanthropy that gave tens of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood and financed its advocacy of “unrestricted access to abortion” around the world. The charity also approved money to global abortion providers while he sat on its board.
In 2010, Jeb was named one of the founding directors of the Bloomberg Family Foundation, established as a tax-exempt foundation to advance the vision of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He resigned from the board at the end of 2014 to prepare his presidential campaign.

In a way, this would be a prestigious position to hold but whether you could ever catch a Santorum or some of the other candidates in this, I don’t know.

Chris Christie Features ISIS Propaganda In New Campaign Ad
A new presidential campaign ad for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) features images taken from Islamic State propaganda videos, marking a growing trend among Republican candidates seeking to attack President Barack Obama.
The 30-second campaign video, “Law Enforcer,” was released on Monday. Christie lists a series of examples of “lawlessness in America and around the world” during Obama’s presidency. He intones that these acts of lawlessness include “ISIS beheading Christians" as stills of the Islamic State’s flag and militants poised to behead prisoners appear on screen.
In addition to featuring images of the Islamic State, Christie’s new ad contains other graphic photos to support his argument that Obama has enabled crimes committed by undocumented immigrants, a rise in heroin abuse and Iran’s acquisition of a nuclear weapon.
The New Jersey governor then promises to reverse these trends as commander in chief.
“We need a strong law enforcer as president,” he concludes. “Someone who says what he means, and means what he says.”
Christie is in an uphill battle to become recognized and I know some of the points people criticize him on; but I think he’s a good candidate even if polling low now.

I didn’t know he was pro abortion! he is seventh day adventist. I wouldn’t think they would be pro abortion. like you say, he is a doctor himself.
I just can’t believe folks who say Carson is pro-abortion. He has said definitively that he is pro-life. I think some are falling for the propaganda and situation twisting to come this conclusion. But, alas, this is how we ended up getting Obama twice.

We are in testy waters (and its going to get rougher). All our Republican Runners are good swimmers but going the distance remains. A few have been treading water - but who knows? Maybe a good question to ask each one is - “Do you know how to swim?” 😉

I am about confused by this polling by Civis. Can somebody help explain?

nytimes.com/2015/08/23/us/politics/why-donald-trump-wont-fold-polls-and-people-speak.html
Unlike most public polls, Civis’s relied on a list of registered voters that included their voting histories, allowing it to measure Mr. Trump’s support among those who regularly cast ballots in primary elections. The survey, which was conducted on landlines Aug. 10 through Wednesday and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus four percentage points, showed Mr. Trump’s support at 16 percent among registered voters who identified as Republicans.

One thing I have heard is that the Federalist has a Redstate.com connection, the Federalist writer Domenech helped found Redstate I heard, some sort of connection.

The poll makes some sense to me, given the option, many love what Trump is saying but in the voting booth, would one vote for him? I have thought of this.

While I can understand why Trump is resonating with people, I do not like him nor will not support him. We’ve had 8 years, or almost 8 years, of a weak sister in the White House who has seriously weakened our country both abroad and with the illegal situation.
So of course Trump with his no nonsense, hardline America is great I can’t be bought, is resonating, especially after the amnesty law and the Sanctuary city thing with the killings.
But TRUMP IS NOT PRO LIFE!!! he says he is but he is not. And he’s not a conservative either.
he recently jumped all over Jeb Bush for for Bush saying he planned to de-fund Planned Parenthood. He twisted it around to a “women’s health issue” and Jeb didn’t have a good comeback.
Now I am a solid conservative and Jeb Bush is not my first choice(I think we need new blood in the White House and not another Bush) But I would take Jeb Bush, who has a proven pro-life record, over Donald Trump any day.
Donald Trump is just like Obama in reverse, saying what people want to hear but I think he’d be a terrible commander in chief. Sorry. Plus he may split off and form a third party which will guarantee the Democratic nominee wins. (Remember 1992?)
I like Cruz, or Marco Rubio, or Scott Walker.

If Trump jumped on Jeb Bush about wanting to defund Planned Parenthood, I can’t find any news stories that say such and I believe it is wrong then, to assert such.

Trump had his flops on Planned Parenthood but Trump was not legislating, believe it or not, some people find fault with Bush’s treatment of the Terri Schiavo case as well. I don’t see it that way but I have heard this.

I liked Ben Carson until I learned he was pro abortion, which is terrible since he’s a doctor himself.
Ben Carson says on his official website for president that he is unabashedly and unapologetically pro life.

From Ben Carson’s own website: “I am unabashedly and entirely pro-life. Human life begins at conception and innocent life must be protected.”

FollowChrist you are right but many of my conservative Christian/Catholic friends support him and I want them to understand that they are supporting a candidate who is not pro-life/who supports Planned Parenthood- but they are so take with him on other issues.
I think he’d be a disaster in the White House but I guess I’m a minority among Republican likely voters right now.
