Do you don’t think it’s important to keep the Republican Party from becoming the party of racists like Romney does?Romney should get a life.

There is a reason that Democrats view this as a witch hunt. The Republicans came right out and said it to remove all doubt:I said that I don’t know of ordinary citizens that are concerned with Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi scandal that aren’t quite partisan. You said this ordinary citizen is. I believe that he is quite partisan. That’s pretty much the end of it. I don’t see anything ridiculous about it.
Now, if you are disappointed that I won’t go barking up the Benghazi tree, I’m sorry but let me point you to the ‘boy who cried wolf’ example. If you keep saying there is a wolf and there is no wolf, sooner or later people stop listening to you. Kind of like with Republicans and the supposed Clinton scandals. On average, people just don’t believe the Republicans anymore on these ‘scandals’.
The Democratic party is all about Identity politics.People are judged on their character but, by the color of their skin and the shape of their genitalia.Congratulations on a self-fulfilling prophecy. If one questions Ms. Clinton’s past behavior, one is partisan, because only a partisan would question Ms. Clinton’s past behavior.
Can you list an actual accomplishment of hers that does not derive from her being married to Mr. Clinton? Or are her genitals sufficient qualification for the highest office in the US?
Of course, the most prominent example of judging someone on the color of their skin is coming from Donald Trump who claims that Judge Curiel is unfit to rule on his case because he ‘happens to be, we believe, Mexican’. Why would that disqualify him? Because ‘we’re going to build a wall’.The Democratic party is all about Identity politics.People are judged on their character but, by the color of their skin and the shape of their genitalia.
That is what progress is all about.
I am not Trump fan. Nowhere have I ever supported what he represents in American politics.Of course, the most prominent example of judging someone on the color of their skin is coming from Donald Trump who claims that Judge Curiel is unfit to rule on his case because he ‘happens to be, we believe, Mexican’. Seriously??!!! Makers and takers? Welfare queens? Built on Christian principles?Birkentock wearing latte drinking Prius drivers? Limousine liberals? The Democratic party is all about Identity politics.People are judged on their character but, by the color of their skin and the shape of their genitalia.

I am dead serious.Seriously??.
I’m just pointing out the obvious: while you are stating that Democrats are the party of identity politics, it is, in fact, the leader of the Republican Party who recently made racist comments. Perhaps you should consider the possibility that your statement is incorrect.I am not Trump fan. Nowhere have I ever supported what he represents in American politics.
An I guess I am not interested in more of the partisan bunk of talking past each other and see who can yell the loudest.![]()
You are yelling the loudest about Trump, for sure.I’m just pointing out the obvious: while you are stating that Democrats are the party of identity politics, it is, in fact, the leader of the Republican Party who recently made racist comments. Perhaps you should consider the possibility that your statement is incorrect.
You missed my point. Democrats are not the only one playing identity politics. Republicans are just as guilty.I am dead serious.
I’m not yelling. Usually, that is done by posting in all capital letters when posting. I’m just pointing out where you are mistaken. You claim that the Democrats are playing identity politics, and I am pointing out to you that the leader of the Republican party is saying racist things (on a thread called “Donald Trump Presidential Campaign Thread”), so you should consider that your statement is incorrect on who is playing identity politics. You are yelling the loudest about Trump, for sure.
I am pointing out the obvious too about Identity politics, in response to the comments of another poster.
So, tell us again about Trump, in case maybe we never heard you the first time.
Talking past each other is always fun.
I was just watching Michael Reagan on Smerconish (CNN). He said that Trump had to earn his vote and that he had not yet done so. I will not go into the reasons why, you can look them up if you are interested in knowing why Ronald Reagan’s son has concerns about Trump.
So my question is, what besides being the Republican nominee and not being Clinton, has Trump done to earn the Catholic vote?
Maybe this article will help explain it:Seriously??!!! Makers and takers? Welfare queens? Built on Christian principles?Birkentock wearing latte drinking Prius drivers? Limousine liberals?
Sorry, every group plays identity politics, especially people who generalize (including me when I generalize about generalizations :blushing: ).
There’s generalizing, and then there’s saying that Ms. Clinton is the obvious choice for President because she has a vagina.Seriously??!!! Makers and takers? Welfare queens? Built on Christian principles?Birkentock wearing latte drinking Prius drivers? Limousine liberals?

Huh?There’s generalizing, and then there’s saying that Ms. Clinton is the obvious choice for President because she has a vagina.
Exactly what has she accomplished that isn’t due to her marriage to Mr. Clinton? What qualifications for the highest office in the US does she possess? Why should anyone vote for her other than because they want a woman as president?Huh?![]()
Because they don’t want Donald Trump to be President?Exactly what has she accomplished that isn’t due to her marriage to Mr. Clinton? What qualifications for the highest office in the US does she possess? Why should anyone vote for her other than because they want a woman as president?
Those are examples of Republicans using identity in political discourse. I hope that you are going to disavow anyone who bring up such categories, including those who bring up gender. There’s generalizing, and then there’s saying that Ms. Clinton is the obvious choeice for President because she has a vagina.
Here’s over 50 people also running for President that aren’t Mr. Trump: politics1.com/p2016.htm. So, why Ms. Clinton?Because they don’t want Donald Trump to be President?
Because she has the best chance of beating him? Here’s over 50 people also running for President that aren’t Mr. Trump: politics1.com/p2016.htm. So, why Ms. Clinton?
