CrossofChrist;13946222]MN?? It’s been about 45 years since they’ve voted Republican. And the results from the primaries indicate Trump was anything but popular there.
It’s also a a very white state with republican-leaning suburbs. It’s high turnout along Lake Superior and in MSP that keeps it blue, but it is in play.
Trump did fairly well in MI and PA, but will he have enough support come November to outdo Clinton in those states? I won’t put it past him–or put it past Clinton to self-implode–but it would still be a little unexpected.
To actually win in these situations, Trump needs to have the majority. It may be more about the party opposite not having enough support. The X-factor could be the libertarians.

The argument I responded to essentially said the election was over. Even the most ardent Democrats have abandoned that line long ago as the DNC frontrunner cannot put away Sanders enough to get him to drop out and that the polls have shown the DNC frontrunner is all kinds of trouble in most every single purple state.

I’m surprised how many Hillary supports consider her entitled and already the next POTUS, she hasn’t even beat Bernie.
I’m not sure I understand. I voted for Bernie. 🤷 But I don’t think Hillary’s supporters consider her entitled and already POTUS. I do think they probably look at her experience and compare her to Donald Trump, who most recently hosted a “Reality TV” show, and conclude that she is far more equipped to be POTUS than he is and I imagine they look at the Electoral College map and her paths to 270. But even though I voted for Bernie, even I can look at the same things and the many issues and conclude something similar when looking at the two. That’s how I see it at least. Someone else will conclude something else. That’s how elections usually work. 🤷

Hillary hosted the reality show known as Benghazi, but at this point what does it really matter

She came, she saw, he died.

If Trump wins PA and IA, I don’t see him losing FL.
Except I don’t see the demographics of the electorate of the 3 states as exactly the same. Granted the GOP has been doing better in FL in midterms. But this is not a midterm. But if that’s what you see, then that is what you see.

Hillary’s reality show relies on her ability to lie especially about all the wonderful success she claims as Secretary of State, taking on Russia and China, advising the President on his most difficult decisions (example: the Ambassador in Libya is reporting an attack - ignore that one Barack, go ahead to Vegas and have a good time. I will take the calls and handle it). All for Hillary’s fantasy of being President. Her obsession is not a reason to choose her for dogcatcher, even though she has shown how she can bark.

Hillary was the worst Secretary of State. Ever.

Democrats are quite willing to bring up the idea that HRC has more experience in the abstract, but when it comes to the specifics, there is nothing there that anyone of any political stripe can support for any reason.

Her political record has not been a successful won. I have yet to meet the person who gets behind her credo, “I came, I saw, he died:D

You’re absolutely right. Democratic voter turnout is higher in presidential election years as opposed to midterms. That’s why some Republicans push the unseemly voter suppression laws, which adversely affect minority voters who tend to vote Democratic.

Her management style guarantees failure, we have the evidence in how she insulates herself from people and ideas she doesn’t like/trust
  • her style caused Healthcare reform under Bill to flop. She lied about the process and excluded (name removed by moderator)ut from relevant groups.
  • her email scandal and management at State show her continued isolation.
We’ll get the same failures as POTUS, if she wins. She can’t manage people or projects to successful outcomes.

There is no way I could vote for Hillary a/c she’s pro-choice – I’m not sure about Trump but think he might have a better chance a/c the Republicans are pro-life. I have 3 adopted children in my family and if their mothers had gone to Planned Parenthood they would not be a part of my family – I’m definitely pro-life!!!

No doubt about it. 👍

How is a rational Catholic to vote?
Can’t vote for Hilary because, aside from being dishonest, manipulative and self centered, she is a Democrat, which has abortion as part of their platform.
Really don’t want to vote for Trump, who is incoherent, inexperienced, and a racist misogynist.
That leaves . . .a write-in, which is essentially leaving it up to everyone else.
We just need to pray hard, that God will give us the president we need, not the one we deserve.
Didn’t Lincoln pop up as a third choice for president, when the convention was stymied? Is there still hope a rational, intelligent, honest candidate will turn up?

As more stuff emerges about Trump University, it’s becoming increasingly clear what a fraud this university was:
Donald Trump’s own promotional material for the courses [at Trump University] said the real estate experts were “hand picked by me”.
In a court in Texas in 2007, [Trump University instructor Stephen] Goff filed for bankruptcy protection. According to court documents, at the time he had just $18,850 in assets – not enough to buy a Trump University Gold Elite Program – and owed much more. The value of his own real estate venture at the time was listed as $0.
Subsequently at Trump University, Goff taught real estate investment.

Donald Trump is starting to sound nuttier by the day:
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has said “it’s possible” that Muslim judges, in addition to Hispanic jurists, would be biased against him and thus ineligible to oversee any case involving him.
Democrats and Republicans alike have rebuked Trump for his insistence that a federal judge, an American citizen since his birth to Mexican immigrants in Indiana, is biased because of the businessman’s plan to build a wall on the southern border.
Trump expanded this argument in an interview with CBS’s Face the Nation that was broadcast on Sunday. Because of his proposal to “temporarily” ban Muslims from entering the US, he said, it “would be possible, absolutely” that he would consider a Muslim judge inappropriate in court.

I wonder why he keeps saying stuff like this. After all, he is trying to bring new people into supporting his candidacy and I don’t know how insulting Hispanics and Muslims will bring cause any new except for racists to support his candidacy.
Considering all the mysogynistic things Trump has said, he would probably also say that a woman judge is not qualified to hear any cases involving him.
