Chairman of Trump’s NY campaign: ‘He made a stupid comment’

thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/282368-trump-campaign-official-he-made-a-stupid-comment

“You have to lump me into the category of people who want to disavow what Trump said,” New York City Councilman Joseph Borelli, a co-chair of Trump’s New York campaign, said on CNN.

“I fundamentally think it’s wrong,” Borelli added during an appearance in a panel discussion, adding later, “He made a stupid comment. He would be better served by abandoning it.”

“I don’t think Donald Trump is a racist by any stance,” Borelli said on CNN. “I think he’s got a lifetime of relatives, friends, business associates, employees that he’s dealt with over the years that could attest to the fact that he is not a racist.”

But the facts are that Trump had this over his shoulder since 2 years ago. Why didn’t he ask for the judge to set himself from the case then?

He (trump) has also said a Muslim judge would treat him unfair. What will happen if, this judge steps aside and he gets an Asian judge, or an African American judge? Are we going to play, find the judge that Trump likes to go over his case?

Maybe there are several good reasons why Trump did not object two years ago… so what? Why would one have to take an action two years in advance of an “if or a maybe”.

So what if Trump has said anything about a hypothetical judge’s hypothetical bias. What game are you playing? Maybe its … on second thought- doesn’t matter.

Agreed.

I would never want this man to be the face of America to the rest of the world. I am quite appalled that he garnered enough votes to be the face of the Republican Party to the rest of America.
That’s always a potential concern. But so very many of the world’s leaders leave so much to be desired that I don’t think it’s a really serious one.

Besides, some say Trump is very impressive one-on-one, and he probably is or he wouldn’t have been as persuasive to counterparties as he seems to have been.

Having said that, though, I would say there is a very strong possibility he will not be praised by the world’s elites if he’s elected, and for the same reason Obama was so adored before he had accomplished a single thing. Most of them are liberal-to-hard-left and prefer a kindred spirit, largely to the exclusion of anyone else. But when it comes to self-interest, they all act out of it no matter what they might say to their media or their cultural elites over a glass of Petrus Pomerol 2009.

The only difference being that they would smile at Obama before rejecting everything he has to say.

Ahh, you see how if feels now, for those that do not support Trump, a liberal or an abortion on demand supporter.

Its kind of bad when the tide turns
Based on the assumptions that Trump is truly a racist and that Clinton is not an abortion on demand supporter. There is no evidence of the former but plenty as to the latter.

Even Raul Curiel, the judge’s brother, said he doesn’t think Trump is a true racist.

What Trump really did was violate the tenets of current, and utterly hypocritical conventional sensitivities, and moreover did it clumsily. It’s quite all right for liberals to defend open borders by appealing to the “necessity” of having an adequate supply of vegetable pickers, gardeners and nannies, which they do incessantly, but it’s not okay to suggest that one of a person’s ideological enemies might just carry it with him to the bench.

In a week or so we’ll be talking about something else Trump said, and it won’t matter much either, people have already made up there minds who they’re going to vote for.

But to say that someone voted for Clinton and call them an abortion on demand is false. Not everyone who votes for her, believes in her abortion stance.

Same with Trump, not everyone who votes for him agrees with everything he says.

So if Curiel’s brother says the statements were not true, that means that the Judge has been by far the superior man here. And like this, people come out and defend Trump for his statements?

The man is running for POTUS. No longer can we argue, well he’s not a politician. That’s the same thing Newt Gingrich said yesterday, that Trump needs to act according to the job that he is running for.

On The O’Reilly Factor, Donald Trump said regarding Judge Curial, “I don’t care if the Judge is Mexican or not” “so I don’t care about Mexican.” He then said again that he didn’t care about the Mexican stuff in relation to the Judge.

I find it odd that Trump suggested that the judge is biased against him because Trump wants to build a wall and the judge is of Mexican background and then say the following, “I’m doing very well with Latinos, with the Hispanics, with Mexicans. I’m doing very well with them, in my opinion.” So since Judge Curiel has never said anything to the contrary or said anything about Trump’s wall proposal, how does Trump know that the judge isn’t one of those many Hispanics who Trump claims are his supporters? He could still like Trump on a personal level and rule against him in court as a matter of law.

Trump does not know what the judge actually thinks of him and his wall. It’s a shame that he brings his personal business into the campaign. Who does this? Right now he is the most famous person in the world. This is how he uses his bully pulpit. What a waste for the Republican party. It just shows that Trump is only for Trump. i can’t imagine how big his ego will get if, by some twist of irony, he is elected president.

Wait another hour and he will change his tune once again.

He’s used that phrase several times and others have responded as you did. I’m sure we will see it again.

So At the end of World War II we should have prosecuted those who ran the death camps but not those who hired them to do so?

Now we know whose going to be facing Trump:
With “a burst of last-minute support from superdelegates,” Hillary Clinton has crossed the threshold of 2,383 delegates needed to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination, the Associated Press reported late Monday.
Clinton appeared to have collected at least two dozen superdelegate commitments late in the day, after climbing to 2,360 delegates in contests over the weekend in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
