What you see as an encyclopedic understanding of the subject at hand seems to me to be a recitation of right wing radio talking points. Of course, you think if these questions raised were particularly relevant, the Republican Congressmen questioning Hillary Clinton on the issue for 11 hours would have gotten some answers. The reason this still peculates even though the Republican subcommittee failed to find any line of questioning that implicated Clinton in wrongdoing is that the appearance of a scandal is more valuable to them than determining the truth of what happened.The questions asked indicate a encyclopedic understanding of the subject at hand.
