Well, it only took four posts for the word RACISM to appear!I guess if old racist grandmas are funny.
Also, remind me again, what race is Islam?

Let’s not forget the ageism and sexism inherent in the whole “old racist grandma” stereotype. Grandmas of the world, let’s complain to the ACLU!Well, it only took four posts for the word RACISM to appear!

Now Trump seems to be engaging in anti-antisemitism:
theguardian.com/us-news/2016/jul/02/donald-trump-star-of-david-tweet-hillary-clinton
Nope. I don’t think they’re stretching at all. I think Trump knew exactly what he would stir up and it just goes to show you how millions of Americans are willing to be duped into supporting him solely because he plays on their fears and they want Big Uncie Donald to make it all better.I think they are stretching on that one.
And the same would apply to a hijab or a Burka. Here is where your view does not match with federal law and employees rights.
I would like to direct you to the EEOC and specifically “Religious Garb and Grooming in the Workplace: Rights and Responsibilities”
eeoc.gov/eeoc/publications/qa_religious_garb_grooming.cfm
“Examples of religious dress and grooming practices include wearing religious clothing or articles (e.g., a Muslim hijab (headscarf), a Sikh turban, or a Christian cross);…In most instances, employers are required by federal law to make exceptions to their usual rules or preferences to permit applicants and employees to observe religious dress and grooming practices.”
Regarding my wearing my St Benedict crucifix in a manufacturing job.
First they have to prove that my crucifix and necklace does indeed pose a safety hazard.
From the EEOC link
"Clothing Requirements Near Machinery
Mirna alleges she was terminated from her job in a factory because of her religion (Pentecostal) after she told her supervisor that her faith prohibits her from wearing pants as required by the company’s new dress code. Mirna requested as an accommodation to be permitted to continue wearing a long but close-fitting skirt. Her manager replies that the dress code is essential to safe and efficient operations on the factory floor, but there is no evidence regarding operation of the machinery at issue to show that close-fitting clothing like that worn by Mirna poses a safety risk. Because the evidence does not establish that wearing pants is truly necessary for safety, the accommodation requested by Mirna does not pose an undue hardship."
"May an employer bar an employee’s religious dress or grooming practice based on workplace safety, security, or health concerns?
Yes, but only if the practice actually poses an undue hardship on the operation of the business. The employer should not assume that the accommodation would pose an undue hardship. While safety, security, or health may justify denying accommodation in a given situation, the employer may do so only if the accommodation would actually pose an undue hardship. In many instances, there may be an available accommodation that will permit the employee to adhere to religious practices and will permit the employer to avoid undue hardship."
Regarding my St Benedict crucifix, what would an accommodation for my crucifix possibly look like? I may not be able to work around specific machines that pose a risk of me being strangled. But, there may be other areas within the company down the processing line where that risk would be mitigated. This would be an example of an accommodation made by a company to accommodate my religious beliefs.
Ooh! May I feel offended on their behalf, too?Let’s not forget the ageism and sexism inherent in the whole “old racist grandma” stereotype. Grandmas of the world, let’s complain to the ACLU!![]()
Of course you may! Let’s form a “This is an OUTRAGE!” group on CAF, and speak up for the voiceless, such as elderly (and allegedly racist) grandmothers!Ooh! May I feel offended on their behalf, too?
That’s all the rage in the West these days, too!![]()
It would be nice if the American right were as concerned about Islamic religious freedom as they are about Christian religious freedom. It would be nice if the American left were as concerned about Christian religious freedom as they were Islamic religious freedom.
How about this: when gay “marriage” and other left-wing activists start suing and harassing Muslim florists, bakeries…and let’s not forget pizzerias… in Minneapolis and Dearborn, give me a jingle and I’ll be more than happy to defend them.sallybutler;14015446]It would be nice if the American right were as concerned about Islamic religious freedom as they are about Christian religious freedom.
Actually, I’ve been telling the right that some Muslims would be powerful allies in the culture war because the left absolutely will not criticize them and because like the Christian right, they tend to have more of the Truth than the self-centered interests evident in social liberalism.Sounds werird, doesn’t it. Of course truth always is odd.
Error has no rights! It would be nice if the American right were as concerned about Islamic religious freedom as they are about Christian religious freedom.
Sounds werird, doesn’t it. Of course truth always is odd.
So, referring back to my original post to you, in which i was asking if you were suggesting that we should lay down our religious rights. I think from this response i got your answer. your argument is that I should lay down my federally protected religous rights to wear my crucifix, and others should also lay down their rights to wear expressions of their faiths. I have a federally protected religious right to wear my crucifix in my workplace, who are you to tell me (or my employer) that i should lay down this right? What you are suggesting is for us to sacrifice a part of our federally protected religious rights, what other of my religious rights are you wanting to give up?If your employer says no jewelry other than a wedding ring, suck it up or find a new job with an employer who is okay with your St Benedict necklace.
cbs46.com/story/32358895/teenage-trump-supporter-receives-death-threatsATLANTA (CBS46) -
Two weeks following a heated debate with a protestor at a Donald Trump rally in Atlanta, life has drastically changed for 16-year-old Quay Manuel.
Donald Trump tweeted a meme Saturday that used dog-whistle anti-Semitism to announce that his political rival, “Crooked Hillary,” had “made history.” The meme Trump tweeted prominently featured the Star of David — a holy symbol of the Jewish religion that Nazis attempted to pervert by forcing Jews over the age of 6 to sew it onto their clothing during Hitler’s reign.
Emblazoned onto the Star of David in Trump’s meme are the words “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!”
The star lies atop a giant pile of money.
Mic discovered Sunday that Donald Trump’s Twitter account wasn’t the first place the meme appeared. The image was previously featured on /pol/ — an Internet message board for the alt-right, a digital movement of neo-Nazis, anti-Semites and white supremacists newly emboldened by the success of Trump’s rhetoric — as early as June 22, over a week before Trump’s team tweeted it.
Though the thread where the meme was featured no longer exists, you can find it by searching the URL in Archive.is, a “time capsule of the internet” that saves unalterable text and graphic of webpages. Doing so allows you to see the thread on /pol/ as it originally existed.
The right is no different. The left loves diversity… until you disagree with them.
With all due respect, but most of the America right, is white. It’s all about them and they don’t really look out for anyone else. I don’t think that’s Christian like behavior, unless I missed it in the Bible or in Church teachings???It would be nice if the American left were as concerned about Christian religious freedom as they were Islamic religious freedom.
That’s a myth perpetrated by the progressive left to keep minority voters in line, and they do it by fanning the flames of racial division and hatred. In many ways, race has become the new golden calf and people shout about it because it’s safe andWith all due respect, but most of the America right, is white. It’s all about them and they don’t really look out for anyone else. I don’t think that’s Christian like behavior, unless I missed it in the Bible or in Church teachings???
Incorrect! Conservatives are MUCH more willing to give liberals a voice than liberals are willing to give conservatives. The right is no different.
