That’s a myth perpetrated by the progressive left to keep minority voters in line, and they do it by fanning the flames of racial division and hatred. In many ways, race has become the new golden calf and people shout about it because it’s safe and  to do so and may net them, meh, some temporary resources.

The last time I looked, conservatives give FOUR times as much to charity than liberals, despite making less money overall.

A lot of some liberals do is show up every 2-4 years to pull the lever for Democrats and are more than happy to take other people’s money and take credit for “helping people” after much of the dough is wasted by the government.
Unfortunately for too many on the left Charity consists of voting for someone who promises to take other peoples many and do it for you.

With all due respect, but most of the America right, is white. It’s all about them and they don’t really look out for anyone else. I don’t think that’s Christian like behavior, unless I missed it in the Bible or in Church teachings???
Isnt judging people by the color of their skin racist? What is your definition of “looking out for someone else”? For instance i am a white conservative who employs 7 people all of whom make living wages and have full benefits. I also coordinate a program that helps homeless alcoholics(without a penny of govt money) Do those count or does only supporting increases in govt social service programs count as “looking out for others”

How is that so? I am a minority and a lot of the help we have gotten have come through democratic lead bills. Could someone say, baloney! Yes they could, but facts are facts.

How is it like you said that all liberals do is pull the lever? Are you insinuating that minorities are ignorant and that’s why they vote for democrats?

Not if the statement I said is false?

If I go to a sporting event and witness a crime and tell the police, four black men or four Hispanic men or four white are who beat the guy, then no, my comment is not racist.

When I said what I said about whites and the right look at the numbers,
ropercenter.cornell.edu/polls/us-elections/how-groups-voted/how-groups-voted-2012/

Couldn’t be any more clear.

I too look for others and you and others call me liberal. I do what I do bc I enjoy it, being a firefighter/ paramedic. I help and do not ask for recognition. 33% of my paycheck goes to church, the bishop, catholic organizations. Plus, I take care of my sister who has Down syndrome. I guess I can fe like you said, a liberal and help out people.

Not only those on the right help out. People from all 3 sides help out. Also, a lot of people help out and do not want recognition. If seems like the right helps out but wants the lights and cameras when they do so.

You say that those on the right don’t care about helping people and when people give examples of the fallacy of your statement you deride them for doing it only to seek recognition !

Money taken from your paycheck by the govt is not charity in any way shape or form You have a personal responsibility to help for poor and needy and you cannot fulfill that responsibility by voting for someone who promises to take other peoples money and do it for you

There are still a lot of people in need who would not receive sufficient help from private charity if that was all there was and must therefore rely on the government for that help. And, of course, the government has to get money from somewhere to provide that help and that is where taxes come in. As Benjamin Franklin said, there are only two things certain in life: death and taxes.

I don’t disagree What I do disagree with is that questioning the amount of funding for Social Programs means you “don’t care” about other people I also do not believe we can delegate our pesonal responsibility to help the poor and needy to the govt

But the reality is that we have to. And that’s not ever going to change, no matter who is in the White House.

It’s not either/or, it’s both/and. We all have a personal responsibility to do what we can at the local level to help the poor and needy. We also need to realize that no matter how much we help, some people are going to need extra help. Sometimes, people simply need money. But one area where the government could really help out and doesn’t is by sufficiently funding programs for people who have serious addiction and mental health problems, because the people who run such programs need to provide for their families, as well - it’s full time work.

Yes, a few token individuals…

2 African American Senators: 1 Democrat, 1 Republican

34 Hispanic or Latino House Members: 25 Democrats, 9 Republicans

4 Hispanic Senators: 1 Democrat, 3 Republicans.

13 Asian, South Asian or Pacific Islander House Members: 12 Democrats, 1 Republican

I guess for those who judge people by the color of their skin that is meaningful

There must be some reason why the overwhelming number of House and Senate members who are women or people of color belong to the Democratic Party. Is it possible that Democrats treat minorities and women better and are more likely to elect women and minorities?

Given the demographic that abortion effects most…
No.

The House and Senate have more women and minorities on the Democratic side than Republican, but in the states, while there are more Republicans than Democratic governors, aren’t their more minority Republican Governors and also female Governors than among the Democrats?! Also look at the past presidential race, this Washington Post article says, “The 2016 Republican field might be the most diverse ever — for either party”
