I just saw this interesting bit of news about why Sarah Palin is not scheduled to speak at the Republican convention:

What a weird statement for Trump to make. Even for him.

Is Ohio all that much further by plane than oh I dunno, say Iowa?

I mean seriously. She flew to Iowa for him before the caucuses. Then they jetted down to OK.

From IA just fly over IL and IN and you’re suddenly in… Ohio. 🤷

You sure do make Hillary responsible for a lot of things. The US did not turn Egypt over to the Muslims Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood won a democratic election in Egypt. Maybe a lot of Americans don’t really believe in democracy, but if we do, we should respect the democratic choices of the people in other nations.

It’s also wishful thinking to believe that keeping three brigades in Iraq could have prevented or controlled the simmering hatreds released between Sunnis and Shia in Iraq because of the incompetent US occupation of that country under the Bush administration.
I have wondered if they don’t have Obama or Hillary to kick around anymore, what will they talk about on CAF World News and who then will they blame and hold responsible either for actual problems that may arise or imaginary ones.

Where does she live–Antarctica? There are inventions called airplanes.
This the same woman who presented at a luncheon in Dallas while having labor pains with her last child and then flew to Alaska to give birth the next morning.

Trump’s excuse sounds like something u say when u can’t make a wedding for your cousin three states away.🙂

I’m sure she is trying to avoid answering questions about her son’s recent arrest for domestic battery. I’d want to avoid that, too.

If the Obama/Hillary bashing has half the life of the George W. Bush bashing, I’d say it’ll go for years…we’re possibly just possibly set for life. 😉 Think Ever Ready Bunny.

I watched Pence do an interview last night on Hannity. I thought he was fantastic, A+ performance - perfect antidote to Trump. But, of course, Hannity is about the safest, gentlest, most supportive environment Pence could have spoken in. I have no idea what will happen after the Left is done with him - how he responds under pressure, in anger, his first screw up, bad interview, bad press, etc. Everything could go south fast.

Substantively, his answers were all very good - well thought out and delivered (he sounds like Proust compared to a Trump speech/tweet). Soft spoken, thoughtful, not too spontaneous, has Washington experience; he has that “Kasich” touch I was looking for. Like I say, we’ll see if he can keep that together once he really enters the media fray or if and when Trump does another derail. So too early to tell - but I think Pence could be a real asset to the ticket. Designated driver. 🙂 We might have to switch the roles - but if Trump did make the call to pick Pence (as opposed to his family, Manafort making the decision), I say it is +1 to Trump. Gingrich can stick around, go in the cabinet. Trump/Pence is a better ticket.

You should’ve been around her during the Bush years.

You know what I never get is every time one of Trump’s daughters is interviewed they are questioned about theie father’s behavior . I wonder why Chelsea is never asked the same thing

In Obama’s first term political threads rarely went more than five posts before somebody blame Bush

Really? Google that and see if you get the same results I did.

I wasn’t around here but those were bad times in out nation’s history. Arguably the worst economic period since the Great Depression along with all the other things that went on during those yrs.

Not exactly. Actually Hillary Clinton has always been a strong advocate for children’s health. She was instrumental in bringing healthcare to children whose mothers and fathers are unable to afford the healthcare that babies and children need after they are brought into this world.
You can’t have healthcare if you are dead

The problem with government paying the costs, is that government will always find ways to rationalize the costs.
Pelosi, for example, was positively giddy of how much money would be saved through contraception, and all the babies who never would be born.

Be that as it may, Noe did provide a reason why a leftist might like Clinton, and what she accomplished in her lifetime in politics.

Then the bill had to comply with the existing balanced budget agreement between Congress and the White House, something that Lott said it did not.[4] Pressure was on to reduce the amount of grants involved, with $16 billion a possible compromise; Hillary Clinton instead argued for $24 billion.[4][6] The Clinton administration had a deal with the Republican leadership in Congress that forbade the administration from backing any amendments to the budget resolution.[13] Thus,** Bill Clinton phoned members of Congress and asked that they kill the children’s health insurance provision when it came to the floor**.[4] On May 22, it was so done, with the necessary cigarette tax amendment defeated by a 55–45 margin.[20]** Hillary Clinton defended her husband’s action at the time,** saying “He had to safeguard the overall budget proposal,”[4] but** Kennedy was surprised and angered by it,[13] considering it a betrayal,**[5] and saying that his calls to Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore had not been returned.[20] Hatch was also upset, saying that Lott may have been bluffing and that, "I think the President and the people in the White House caved here."[20]
It is interesting to note the role that HRC played in this bill at one point too.
Eventually though, Ted thanked Hil and Bill for the invaluable help that they played in getting his bill passed.

The Girl Scouts also deserve some credit too.🙂
