But don’t you think it’s just as likely that Hillary clinton end civilization?

Arg! My friends are mad because they aren’t in the front row of the convention (usually the host state get their delegates in the front row). Goodness! These are the guys that Trump needs to work their butts off to win Ohio. Art of the Deal for sure!
The difference is, Hillary would end civilization metaphorically, but The Donald would end it literally.

I just saw reporting on this a few minutes ago. I was actually quite surprised. Does seem odd. The guy is basically in a dead heat in this swing state and like you said, these are the people he needs. And they are assigned the cheap seats. But then this whole campaign has been odd. Is this the Trump way of punishing Ohio for voting for Kasich and for Kasich not appearing at the convention? I see his campaign is saying Kasich is an embarrassment to Ohio.

Well there’s onlly 130 days left to the election, so I guess they’ll run out of people to come on and say that Trump is bad! Ha! I make myself laugh! He’s messed with so many people they won’t run out!
Um, ok.

Beats me! A lot of these Ohio delegates owe a lot to John Kasich. I know a few and they consider Kasich to be a great man for Republicans in Ohio. I think he’s been a really solid gov for my staTe. The smart thing would be to ignore it, but that would be the first smart thing that the Trump campaign has done!
I have OH roots myself and still have Catholic Republican family there. They seem to share your view of Kasich. I know for sure at least one of them is not supporting Trump though. Kasich would have been my choice had I been a Republican primary voter regardless of whether I had lived in OH or elsewhere. Seemed to have had a good deal of common sense to me in comparison to some of the others that were in the field.

Paul Manipor was booed when he said that this morning. It certainly makes a statement when a republican governor doesn’t show up for a convention in his own state.

It certainly does along with the living former Republican Presidents, and the party’s most recent nominee, and their VP nominee the time before that, all MIA.

But Chachi is speaking; so there’s that. O happy days!

The establishment is boycotting the convention that will nominate an anti-establishment candidate. And people are surprised?

Actually, yes. Many people figured the Republican party would get in line and support him when it came down to it to ensure a win for the party. But it seems many aren’t particularly ready to make that kind of concession. Perhaps they’d rather he lose in 2016 and better luck in 2020 with a more mainstream candidate (or even someone from their Tea Party sub party).

If they all fell in line, then Trump wouldn’t be much of an anti-establishment candidate, would he?

To an extent. But even “anti-establishment” candidates will typically do what’s best for their overall ideals and the party they’re members of even if it means supporting the party establishment in the end or vice versa. Otherwise why be a member of the party in the first place since the two major parties are by their nature establishment. Take Sanders, he’s quite “anti-establishment” from a Democrat perspective. But even he in the end threw his support behind the establishment that better represents his values. Trump may be somewhat “anti-establishment” from the Republican perspective, but he is still a Republican.

Hopefully Chachi won’t decide to repeat Clint Eastwood’s empty chair routine. But I saw some people online joking that an empty chair might be more interesting than some of Trump’s planned speakers. 😉

I guess sometimes politics doesn’t make for strange bedfellows.

I can only hope and pray that this is true; any decent, sane individual nominated by the Republicans would have likely beaten Hillary this year.
