I do and I think most people don’t care to even discuss their choice because of the rhetoric of the left. But for example the left email today…
This is not even a thing about the left.

This is a thing with republicans and republican delegates.

It looks like the Republican convention is getting off to a good start… 😉
Donald Trump is seeking to unify the Republican Party heading into the general election, but as the party’s convention begins on Monday, it’s clear there’s no love lost between the presumptive nominee and Ohio Governor John Kasich in a state critical to Trump’s hopes of winning the presidency.
Kasich, who ran unsuccessfully for the presidential nomination and won only his home state, has refused to endorse Trump despite a pledge to do so. He’s also refused to appear at the convention being held in Cleveland while attending other events and speaking to state delegates, including New Hampshire’s.
Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign manager, said Kasich is being "petulant’’ and "embarrassing his party in Ohio’’ by refusing to back Trump in hopes it will help him win the presidency.
"That’s a dumb, dumb, thing,’’ Manafort said during a breakfast on Monday hosted by Bloomberg Politics. "Will John Kasich finally grow up? Maybe. If he does, we’ll welcome him.’'
On Monday, Manafort said the Trump campaign is working with Ohio Senator Rob Portman, who faces a tough re-election battle against former Governor Ted Strickland, and that the billionaire doesn’t need Kasich to win Ohio.
"Is he upset with John Kasich?’’ Manafort said of Portman at the breakfast. "Yeah, he’s very upset with John Kasich because John Kasich’s hurting him.
"It’s not going to hurt us,’’ Manafort said. "We said, ‘OK, you don’t want to be with us? We’ll take care of the party in Ohio. We’re going to work with Rob Portman, we’re going to make sure Rob Portman gets re-elected, and we’re going to win Ohio.’’
Portman campaign spokeswoman Michawn Rich called Manafort’s comments about Portman being angry with Kasich "totally false.’’ "Rob Portman and John Kasich are working hand in hand to defeat Ted Strickland and any suggestion otherwise is inaccurate,’’ Rich said in an email statement.

Here’s an interesting comment from Kasich’s chief political strategist, John Weaver:

“Manafort’s problem, after all those years on the lam with thugs and autocrats, is that he can’t recognize principle and integrity. I do congratulate him though on a great pivot at the start of the convention after such a successful vice-presidential launch. He has brought great professionalism, direct from Kiev, to Trump world.”

I prefer to give it time rather than assume doom and gloom. Pence will have a good affect on the campaign, I believe.
I will play both cards.

Trump with Pence in the ballot can show a lot of republicans, and bring them peace that he is conservative. Time will be on his time, he will be able to send pence, Christie, Gingrich, huckabee, strong conservatives throughout the country and ease the minds of conservatives.

On the other hand, he sealed the deal before Hillary, 2 plus months ago, and he still has those on the right that don’t trust him.

Very harsh. I guess there’s no love lost there. I’m listening to speculation as to how Trump can win if he doesn’t have more support from Republicans. That’s a problem for him. (along with women, Latinos, Blacks, et al)

I think that Mike Pence was a solid choice to be Donald Trump’s running mate. Pence is a conservative Christian who does not bow to the New World Order agenda. He can unify all the conservative factions of the GOP.
But people don’t vote for VP. And you can be sure that the Dems will aggressively portray Pence as “anti-woman” due to his pro-life views, adding to Trump’s problems with many women. There will be so much well-funded opposition research and so many anti-Trump ads that when the Dems rev up, Pence will matter not at all.

People know who’s in charge, and it isn’t Pence. Trump has shown no willingness to listen to Pence’s advice any more than his campaign’s advisors, members of Congress, RNC leadership, etc. I’m not sure how Pence is supposed to show that Trump is a conservative. He isn’t, and the GOP knows it.

I’m an Independent, but generally vote in the Republican primary due to pro-life issues. I find Trump thoroughly frightening and so do most of my like-minded family members and friends. There is no way I could ever vote for someone as ill-informed, self-absorbed, mercurial and divisive as Trump. Remember, a significant number of Trump’s primary voters were NOT registered Republicans but crossover voters; there are plenty of Republicans who would never vote for him.

Had the Republican primary process chosen any decent, reasonable candidate, this election would be a cakewalk for them.

I am not convinced that somebody like Rubio, Cruz or Bush would be in any of a better position in the polls than Trump is at this time.

They, at least, appears to be somewhat normal as we know it. Trump is starting to sound deranged. I seriously wonder about his mental health. He’s not someone whose finger should get near the button.

I agree. I don’t know one person who admits wanting to vote for him. (and that includes my thoroughly Republican family)

You would rather have on the button the finger of a woman who started an absolutely self-defeating war in Libya that even Obama admits was a “mistake”? The woman who laughed at Khaddaffi’s torture-killing and ran guns to terrorists in Syria?

I sure wouldn’t, and no Democrat should either.

Well said, dixieagle! Thank you for saying this. This election cycle is so depressing but posts like yours help restore my faith in humanity.:signofcross:

I, too, think that the GOP would have won easily this year if they “had chosen any decent, reasonable candidate,” but they didn’t. I was hoping for Kasich, personally, but I liked Rubio, too. Oh well, it is what it is.

I don’t know what “normal” is and have a MSW and been working with people directly for decades. Help us.🙂

I didn’t bring my crystal ball today but the Democrats are scared to death as the polls show and they point to, want to read their email again or you think they are lying? Its posted on this thread.

👍

Thanks to dixieangle seconded.

Kasich was the only one whom I can imagine to have voted for had he been the candidate. I think he was also the one whom the Clinton camp was most afraid of, for good reason.
