Do you want a 100 bullet points step-by-step plan? Or do you want a gist of what he wants to do? What he wants to do is very clear on issues of trade deals, foreign relations, immigration, health care. You can look at his website donaldjtrump.com. If you keep up with the debates or any of his interviews he is more clear no his plan than anybody else.
Either one will do.

I have heard his views about immigration and the Second Amendment, but not details on the other topics you have listed.

I have kept up with the debates and most of his interviews. Not sure why I am not clear on his plan. His website doesn’t seem to go into much detail either.

Go to his website. Google his speeches. You’ll see what his plans are.

Guests on the Megyn Kelly show were just a bit ago making these same arguments. This won’t affect his hardcore supporters. But as you said Iowans take their caucus seriously and those undecided Iowa Republicans might not take too well to Trump refusing to debate as they’re making up their minds days before the caucus. In 1980 Reagan refused to debate in Iowa and his support plummeted in the caucus. To run away from FOX because he fears Kelly or for whatever reason does not show strength as I know his hardcore constituency seems to think. But rather it shows weakness on the part of Trump. No reason why he can’t “man up” and debate and still have his own event for wounded warriors and veterans at another time. But to leave the stage to Cruz and Rubio and allowing them to attack him and not being there to respond, could backfire. But we’ll know next wk. Depends on if he has enough hardcore support who will turn out for him despite this.
Completely agree with your analysis, and those who were on the Kelly File.

Trump may think his decision to not debate is the right one.
But he is forgetting the Iowa caucus goers. That is a mistake.

Will it matter with his going forward into other states? Too soon to tell.

He is making a risky bet by bailing out on the debate simply because he “doesn’t like Megyn…”

Seriously?? So he doesn’t like Megyn. So what. Big deal. You debate anyway.

In 1980 Reagan refused to debate in Iowa and his support **plummeted **in the caucus.
In January 1980, the Iowa Republicans decided to have a straw poll as a part of their caucuses for that year. Bush defeated Reagan by **a small margin. **
Reagan went on to be the best 20th century President. I am sure we’ll be saying the same thing about Trump if he delivers.

One thing I cannot get over is the anger over Trump I sense in some of you. It’s like we don’t live in the same country. I don’t get it.

Well I don’t think Ronald Reagan had a roadmap one year out. He did have clearly laid out positions.
I was a bit young when Reagan ran for president, but I am all ears now.

Besides, one cannot compare the amount of air time candidates have now, not to mention the use of social media.

This is good:ontheissues.org/donald_trump.htm

I don’t think he has ever clearly stated how he plans to achieve his ideas,** but I am assuming he will surround himself with qualified people.**
Yes, that was Reagan’s strength. In Powell’s memoirs (pre-Bush 2) he talks about it. Reagan and the vision, but it was the people around him that implemented it and made it a reality.

Why are you sure that we will be saying the same thing about Trump?

In what ways do you see Trump and Reagan being so similar?

I don’t see it, but would love for you to expound on what you do see.

I could expound but I don’t think I will change your mind and I think the discussion about Trump has taken an uncharitable turn. I was also just re reading the political discussion rules and there is a prohibition on judging a candidate’s moral and spiritual condition and character…and I am sure I have violated that rule in reference to Clinton and Obama.

If you want my take on the parallels pm me. They are overwhelming.

Well hello and welcome!!!

You are new to the boards by your profile, so you know about banning already?

Have you been banned before on this website? Just curious.

It is wise to go and read the forum rules 🙂
Thanks for the welcome, I guess.

If I broke a rule I apologize. I reported myself just in case.

I will go back to the spiritual side of this board now. Nice chatting with you.

Trump is not a liar.
He publicly says what everyone knows…Kelley is very bias against Trump. I question why Fox would allow her a chance to dig her nails in a second time knowing she is so vehemently against him. It was time for a new panel of people to ask questions. Kelley had her one public chance…time to move on.
Trump is very wise to boycott Fox.
Trump is a liar.

Megyn Kelly has no bias against Trump. It’s the other way around actually.

He didn’t get his way and now he is going to be a cry baby. It will be a more intelligent debate with out him.

Unfortunately the egotist will do a 180 because he cant stand not be the center of attention. When he tries to worm his way back into the debate Fox should tell him no. He should also be excluded from the remaining debates.

Trump is foolish to boycott Fox. But then he isn’t very bright to start with,

If they wait several hours to see a speech, yes they will. His speeches are packed. You cannot say that about any other candidate.

Trump will be the next President, or we will not have a country in four years.
If Trump is the next President, the country will be gone long before that.

Well not everyone would say Reagan went on to be the best in an entire century. So that is certainly debatable. I certainly wouldn’t. I believe the Reagan years were the beginning of the greed and redistribution of wealth from the poor and middle class to the rich that I see in our country today.

And anger is not what I feel toward Trump. I actually laugh at him. I’m not proud of myself that I do but sometimes I can’t help myself as I find him similar to a comic at times in his delivery. I try not to because what I do feel is sadness and embarrassment for our country to have him as one of our leading candidates for President. Not anger as much as I’m disgusted at times with what he says and how he says it.

And oh we live in the same country. But I get it. As it is our vision for our country and our solutions to problems that are very much not the same.

Other than Abortion, I can agree that our Christianity bonds us together more than politics separates us.🙂
