They do have something to be afraid of. It’s just that it’s not Trump (I’m pretty sure he won’t do most of the things they are afraid of), it is usually a portion of his supporters that are the nasty and loud ones. Do people genuinely believe that all of his supporters are happy, faithful loving Christians? Seems that way here

Their fear is not all made up by media, there are legitimate reasons, as well as ‘fake’ reasons thanks to propaganda. I think it’s almost comical how people will immediately say everything is fake but then believe the biased media if it tells them what they want to hear. Yes this applies to republican and democrats.

It seems trivial to me. Create a law stating that life begins at conception. Then, killing the unborn baby becomes illegal. Someone then works a case through the Supreme Court, stating that it is in violation of Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court, stacked by Republican nominees, upholds the law, stating that it does not ban abortions, as the abortions are still permitted, provided the baby survives. It will then be up to the medical doctors to figure out how to make it work.
Remind, again, prior to the current wave of judicial activism and executive orders, who within this country was being persecuted? Needed to fear for their lives? Nobody. I could have told Hillary about how racist Wisconsin is, having experienced it myself, and that the so-called white elite women there (whom she depended on for votes) are as racist as the white working class people.
As for the rust belt, Michael Moore (who came from the working class there and knows the people well) has a good explanation of how they went for Trump:

Not sure if those who voted for Trump want to have Social Security and Medicare cut or reduced (in exchange for tax breaks mostly for the rich), but they’d probably agree with having Medicaid and other programs for the poor cut out, and no help for the poor to go to college.
And of course sending undocumented parents back to Mexico, so their US-born children and spouses (who are unable to work now bec they have to care for the kids) go onto welfare…which will be cut, of course. So no problem to the elites classes in that department, since they’ll be getting tax breaks.
That’s the only silver lining to this election is that in some way – by sticks or by carrots – he reduces abortion.
Perhaps hyperbole. I am extremely sad that people chose death to the world through climate change and other serious environmental problems. That is sad and very tragic.
