And what good will that accomplish other than to make them look like the children they are.The news came too late for most of the country, but there were some sporadic protests on the West Coast after the news was announced. Today I expect to see mass protests, roads shutdowns, and school walkouts. The left is not going to take this well.
Colorado is starting to sound much like Canada, or at least Ontario. Ontario has much of the same things you mentioned above and it’s collapsing in on itself.I am surprised. Also pretty disgusted with Colorado right now. Assisted suicide passed with a big margin. The Bishops here have already come out and condemned it, good for them. I don’t think people realize that Compassion and Choices, the group which pushed the proposition, was the Hemlock Society. They just renamed themselves. Makes me sick to my stomach. “Have problems? Here, let’s help you jump off a bridge.”
I don’t think Colorado is a battle ground state anymore. Minimum wage increase to 12$ by 2020 also passed. Less than ten years ago I worked for 6.25 an hour. Should it really double in only fifteen years? Sheesh, no wonder housing is getting so unaffordable out here. Moving is a real possibility.
That’s kind of where I’m at, too.I was surprised at how happy I was to see states slip from Clinton’s grasp. I didn’t vote for Trump, but living in the middle of the country I do understand why people here were for him, and it has nothing to do with hate or racism or any of those other things. People are just really, really fed up with Washington.
I also think that if he approaches the office of President the way he made his victory speech, we may do a lot better than we thought. I do not think Clinton would have been so gracious.
So I’m cautiously optimistic, which surprises me as much as anyone else.
I did not vote for the man and I did not vote for Hillary but I pray that God bless him and us.May God give him the wisdom and courage to lead us.
That would be liberals using that outdated stereotype. I doubt they will stop.I hope americans are aware that all of this (whatever pro catholic thing trump would do) would be reversed the next election- millennials will vote, probably more will ‘learn their lesson’ (apparently 11k votes were for Harambe!!! Not sure if it is a legit claim)…
I don’t really know the point of my post, but I feel like there should be a bigger effort to evangelise and reach out as opposed to just voting? Let’s say Trump bans abortion-there’s going to be a huge knee jerk response blah blah blah
I guess I want to say that while you americans are relishing the victory of this…person, I hope you don’t forget what’s important and actually try your best to get rid of the “white, racist homophobe who hates anyone who isn’t a straight white christian” stereotype.
This is just from someone in Asia looking at the state of America-both liberals and wconservatives.![]()
The fact that some people are bigoted with regard to Christians is a moral failing on their part, not mine.… try your best to get rid of the “white, racist homophobe who hates anyone who isn’t a straight white christian” stereotype.
I certainly hope no one thinks that voting for President replaces their obligation to evangelize.I hope americans are aware that all of this (whatever pro catholic thing trump would do) would be reversed the next election- millennials will vote, probably more will ‘learn their lesson’ (apparently 11k votes were for Harambe!!! Trump would not have won if all the millennials were one-minded liberals, as our liberal media paints them. Sorry, it’s not that simple, my dear friend looking in from the outside and listening to biased pundits and smear-mongers here in the USA.I hope americans are aware that all of this (whatever pro catholic thing trump would do) would be reversed the next election- millennials will vote, probably more will ‘learn their lesson’ (apparently 11k votes were for Harambe!!! We are evangelizing here in the USA. It’s one of the reasons Trump won. I don’t expect him to ban abortions, but to keep a firm check on them and limit them–which would be a step in the right direction. Of course the abortion supporters are going to scream. Let them. Apparently a good majority of the American people don’t agree with their agenda.I don’t really know the point of my post, but I feel like there should be a bigger effort to evangelise and reach out as opposed to just voting? This…person? As if Hillary were some kind of saint? The majority of Americans aren’t “white, racist homophobe who hates anyone who isn’t a straight white Christian,” contrary to what you’ve read in the leftist media. We are compassionate, kind and forgiving–sometimes to a fault. There’s much more hype than truth in a lot of the shouting and rioting you may have seen. Remember, the media’s silent motto is “if it bleeds it leads”. Can you tell me it’s any different where you life?I guess I want to say that while you americans are relishing the victory of this…person, I hope you don’t forget what’s important and actually try your best to get rid of the “white, racist homophobe who hates anyone who isn’t a straight white christian” stereotype.
Exactly, looking in and not getting a true picture, but one skewed for sensationalism and scare-mongering. You may want to be little more prudent in your reading/what you listen to and watch in the media and take everything they “report” with a hearty grain of salt. This is just from someone in Asia looking at the state of America-both liberals and conservatives.![]()
It IS true to an extent though. You all can choose to shrug and ignore it and only call out oppression if it is only against “your” people (if I’m being too specific, I’m probably subconsciously thinking of the people i know), and have liberals take over and brainwash each other, or you can reiterate the message of the inclusive love our church has and hopefully show people that you are not like that stereotype. The fact that some people are bigoted with regard to Christians is a moral failing on their part, not mine.
Amen!I certainly hope no one thinks that voting for President replaces their obligation to evangelize.
You’re right that we don’t want to become complacent. When we know the government opposes us, it is easier to see why we need to work so hard to protect the life of the unborn, religious liberty, etc. We want to work (and pray) just as hard now. We cannot leave it to the politicians to do all the work for us.
I totally agree with this! I might add that people should realize that the media are not reporting news but trying to sway opinions. I believe their days are numbered. The MSM is a big let down. They lied to their viewers/listeners and they owe everyone, especially President elect Trump, a massive apology!!!Trump would not have won if all the millennials were one-minded liberals, as our liberal media paints them. Sorry, it’s not that simple, my dear friend looking in from the outside and listening to biased pundits and smear-mongers here in the USA.

It’s possible to dislike Trump without liking Clinton! Who would have known?Trump would not have won if all the millennials were one-minded liberals, as our liberal media paints them. What’s the confusion? This is a purposeful design so that densely populated areas subject to group think cannot dominate election results.Clinton won the popular vote, but lost to the Electoral vote.![]()
Not unlikely in any close election. The electors are assigned according to population, but there is roundoff error in that assignment, plus the states vary in turnout. So in a very close election, there is about a 50-50 chance the popular vote will be opposite the electoral vote.Clinton won the popular vote, but lost to the Electoral vote.![]()
