Hey guys just decided to check in after awhile I posted this just to see how annoyed you guys would get about this, not all fo you but alot of you need to chill out and think about some things. One comment I saw was why be moral and why not be racist homophobic and an animal killer if there is no moral code? Well I say that were all products of evolution and it is ethics that has been put into our DNA code to help us survive, but if you need some sort of goody bag or treat(heaven) to be moral thats just sad and kind of inhumane.We are all related to animals in my opinion of evolution so we are like family just distant and ther just trying to survive like you or me, Maybe to express this in your terms I could say that it is one of Gods creatures just like you and you should respect gods creations.Racism is just stupid because were all the same species just slightly differing DNA black to white is the same as black hair or blonde it really is irrelevant.

Human life has value, hence racism or sexism is wrong. I must concede that all mankind is connected in such a way that we are all entitled to the same basic rights. Would you agree?
 
He still hasn’t answered the question:If there is no God, if we’re just the result of random chance, how can there be any right or wrong?

And when you say “Well I say that were all products of evolution”, isn’t that just an opinion? You obviously didn’t back it up with facts. Why should we believe your word over God’s?

don’t assume we haven’t had a lot of the same thoughts you have… As the bible says, there is nothing new under the sun… What you have thought of has been thought of before… many, many times throughout history… We all have questions and doubts and wahtever…

Anyway… If you knew what i knew, you would be Catholic…

That may be all i really needto say… I don’t think you will listen to anything i have to say, frankly…

If you knew the Jesus that you reject… you would not reject Him… You reject him only because you do not know Him…

Some day you ought to go sit in an “empty” Catholic Church… where the Real Presence of Christ abides 24/7… (Churches are usually open during business hours)…

Being there a few minutes probably won’t do much good… but being There more than an hour… hmm… don’t know the words to explain it… and it is different for everyone because everyone has his or her own unique circumstances, relationships, etc… (which Jesus knows ALL about… Knows and CARES… ).

that reminds me… If we don’t have a powerful, holy God to answer to… why NOT kill someone for virtually any reason?? I mean, really… don’t you get the feeling this poster is bein dishonest? I think he believes in God and probably believes in the Bible even if he hasn’t read most of it… He believes in it instinctively… becaue God gave eveyone a conscience to know right from wrong…

If he ever read the Bible, he would find that it sounds like God should sound… The Word resonates with the human heart and mind… confirming what we already “know” somehow… somewhere deep inside…

With that said, I recall an old law that I have found to be true: For every convincing argument against God, Jesus, The Bible, and Christianity, there is an equally convincing argument in favor of God, Jesus, The Bible, and Christianity.

Your position would make more sense, and perhaps be more effective, if we Catholics were Fundamentalists. But since we are not, I (since I can only speak for myself) really don’t care what you think.

Racism is just stupid, but butchering the written english is a freakin’ crime! 🙂

Don’t be offended that I laughed at this thread, I am not sure if you realize all the holes in your arguments.
How can ethics be a product of evolution, only for humans, but not so for animals. At least in the slightest?

Who says human life has value? Hitler didn’t think so… (except about his own life & a few others’ :rolleyes: )

What if one person in society thinks like Hitler, another like a true Catholic? Should the one who is a Nazi be able to do wahtever he wants just because he has a right to bleieve as he wants? Or is there a higher law… that we all must answer to?

The Catholic religion is the truth… It is the right religion for ALL people whether you or anyone else wants to acknowledge that or not… (Catholic, as you may know, means “universal”)… What is morally true for one person is morally true for another as well. Adultery, for example, is not right for some people (non-Catholics, etc.) and wrong for others… Objectively speaking, it is always very wrong… always causes terrible consequences…

Why don’t you admit that you are already 1/2 Catholic… since you believe that certain things are always wrong… (racism, etc.)
