I predict a long, sustained silence from daro2096 on this question. I just did a fair amount of googling on this topic and this book does not seem to exist. Funny that every anti-Catholic cites this book with no page # (BTW, a citation requires a p(name removed by moderator)oint; you have to tell the reader exactly where in the work to find the quote) and it seems like NO ONE can find a physical copy of it. Plus, it is always the same two quotes cited over and over and over on the Internet: “The Pope takes the place of Jesus Christ on earth…” and “I must tell my sins to the priest…” Wouldn’t you think a book that’s as voluminous sounding as a Catechism would have more than two quotes from it across the entire Internet?
It sounds like no one can find this thing. No ISBN. Nothing in the Library of Congress. Hmm, you’d think a book supposedly representing the official doctrine of the Catholic Church wouldn’t be so hard for Catholics to locate.
How about it Daro? Where can we see a copy of this alleged Catholic source? If it says what you say it says, I’m ready to concede you’ve got us on this one. Because I, like all Catholics, am pretty horrified by that quote. In fact, it’s totally repugnant to my faith. So, show me where my church teaches that and I’d be happy to consider the possibility that I’m in the wrong church.
