Well…I agree to a certian extent…Sex out of marriage…its no good…any act for self…can not be good for the soul. It is the selfless act, the giving of yourself to your spouse. That is good to go. Check out Theology of the Body…now thats some good read…(or so I hear) I have been lucky enough to hear some parts…never fully reading it. Which reminds me…I’ll be reading now…

I agree with what Anhus wrote. Also sex is not evil but evil will use sex to turn you away from God’s plan. Don’t buy the lie.
 
Just the same, if sex in of marriage didn’t exist, there’d be no sex out of marriage, and no evil to that effect. So destroy the source, and you destroy the evil, that sort of thing. So DOWN WITH ALL SEX!! In or out of marriage. DEATH TO SEX!!

Dude, 777, all of your posts that I have read are totally crazy and make no sense. No offense but I really don’t get it. Are you trying to use radical fanaticism to try and convince us that premarital of extramarital sex are ok? Are you being sarcastic or actually ranting about the evils of sex?

You can’t make sex objectively evil because you may have had a bad experience with sex. And why did you? Not that I’m being presumptuous, but maybe you weren’t using sex the way God intended, and even if you did,but something still bad happened, that doesn’t not make sex evil. If that were the case then anything could be deemed evil based on our negative experience. Flowers are beautiful, but if I leave them in my garden unattended and they grow wild, then I might not deem them beautiful, but they still are. I just haven’t managed them well. Your response is too simplistic. We have enough knowledge to know that God made sex, and He made it good. And we have access to grace to know that we can partake of it to get us through bad experiences. So we really don’t have to resort to slogans which obfuscate the problem or which infame without enlightening. Sex is not the problem by any stretch of the imagination, but oftentimes our misunderstanding of God’s gift is.

If there was no sex to begin with, there’d be no porn in the first place.
 
If there were no sex, there would be no you. 😉

There would be another way of reproduction probably associated with some kind of pleasure so that people would still care enough to do it. That kind of pleasure could still be craved beyond common sense. The same way as any other pleasure.

No I didn’t, but I wouldn’t have sex, in or out of marriage. And even if I was married, me and my wife would never have sex @ all. Also, there would be no harlots and no gay and lesbians if sex never existed.

In all honesty, 777, you should consider seeing a psychiatrist. Not a counselor, not a psychologist, but a psychiatrist. A little psychotherapy and maybe some medication could make your world a lot better.
 
actually 777 is right in a way, even if he/she is taking the mickey. Viewing sex as a purely reproductive thing is really no different than seeing it as a neccessary evil: overemphasing it’s practical purpose is used to deny it’s other purpose : intimacy between a man and women who love each other. ‘Unity’ is the same thing because it says giving pleasure is ok but receiving it isn’t. Some christians simply cannot come to terms with anything that is pleasurable, so they talk in terms of the reproductive meaning only, as if that is what is going through couples minds in the bedroom.
 
Dear 777,

You need some spiritual counseling from a schooled theologian. Perhaps, you have the best of intentions, but eliminating sex is against the teachings of God and Church. It is a terrible heresy. Please get some counsel!
