Wait, isnt there like a theory out there that dinosaurs died out sometime in earlier biblical times? (if they did exist) just curious ! 🙂
Yes, there are some theories that a few dinos may have survived the mass extinction and survived into the human era, which is very possible. After-all, there were some very large mammals and birds in recent history that are now extinct (from 10,000 years ago to the 19th century)

But that doesn’t mean that the planet is 5000 years old

It is impossible and no dinos survived into the “human era”. And the earth is scientifically proven to be over 4 BILLION years old

Hmmm… could the “dragons” mentioned in the bible just be comodo dragons? I personally think they were much more… but nothing we can comprehend now. And yes im aware there is “proof” out there for an old eart theory, which i dont know TOO much about so i wont completely attack that… BUT doesn’t bible in its genealogies show thats it not quite 4 BILLION?

I mean intelligent Sapiens who had what Aquinas termed a “sensitive soul”. These are natural souls that, as far as we know, end at death. There has been no definitive doctrine on the state of the sensitive soul after death.

Maybe read some Aquinas on souls? Reading some of the rich Catholic teachings for a bit instead of YEC blogs can’t hurt.
How do you know so-called intelligent Sapiens had “sensitive soul” ?

Why is this proven and dinosaurs on various ancient objects not? The age of the earth, whatever it is, is not the topic. There is enough evidence to show that something we call dinosaurs existed into the era of man. Adam and Ever were two literal persons.

It’s in the Bible.

New International Version
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

New Living Translation
"Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

English Standard Version
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

For the second, or maybe third, time, it is the tradition of the Church that all living things have souls.

There are eternal souls, sensitive souls (animals) and natural souls (plants). Aquinas will help break this out for you.

  1. I never said the Earth was not over 4 billion years old. I agree with science that it is. I am not a “young Earther.”
  2. I meant to say “dino like” animals… Point is, it is NOT impossible that 1 or more large reptiles existed 5000 to 10000 years ago, that we are currently unaware of.
The Giant Monitor Lizard, which was a 25 foot long, 2 ton lizard went extinct approx 40,000 years ago.

Finally, most myths have some basis in reality, even if it has become totally exaggerated like “fire breathing” dragons.

NOTE: “fire breathing” could have come from venom spiting or venous bit. For example, the Komodo dragon’s bite contains venom.

My point - the “dragons” of the Bible may have actually existed, but were obviously NOT the mystical dragons we think of today.

God Bless

You mean Neanderthals would have a sensitive soul like rats, snakes, etc.

PS what do you think Aquinas would think of Darwin’s theory of evolution?

Some dinos did survive, and still do. We call them “birds” today.

Crocodilia too

Crocodilia - Wikipedia
I think the crocodilians are not considered to be “dinosaurs”, in that they’re not members of the clade Dinosauria. That being said, both crocodilians and dinosaurs are both archosaurs.

Look at a dragon. It has four legs and two wings. That gives it six limbs
Not every dragon has 6 limbs. Chinese dragons don’t have wings. This is evidence that there is more than one species of dragon…

it is unreasonable to argue that evolution is false or fake. Science clearly has sufficient evidence that the theory is as likely as the big bang theory. None of this contradicts sacred scripture. Sacred scripture is not a book of science. The essence of Genesis is that God created everything. The theory of evolution doesn’t contradict this belief.

As for me, I believe that God created all life and evolution is how he did it.

The issue is that Christinas who are nonchalant about being evolved from apes, really haven’t consider the grave implications to Hamartiology
but evolution doesn’t say that man descended from apes. Evolution says that complex lifeforms evolved from less complex lifeforms. Our physical bodies evolved from more primitive hominids.

Neither six limbed dragons nor six limbed large reptiles have ever existed. Four limbed large reptiles definitely have: Chinese dragons and western Wyverns are examples of four limbed (tetrapod) dragons. I might possibly add the Native American Thunderbird to this group of tetrapods.

Finding a dinosaur fossil or footprint in rock could easily give rise to such stories. There is no need for a living non-avian dinosaur to explain the origin of such stories. Fossils will serve equally well.

I guess that picture must bother you. Is “quote mining” the standard answer now.
