Actually, it would just be “Tea Party.”That would be the Tea Bag Party.
Tea Bagger is a sexual euphemism and is very derogatory when describing this group.

Thank you for the correction.Actually, it would just be “Tea Party.”![]()
He probably was since the matter was referred to the nuncio, the Bishop disobeyed his 2007 instructions on the Latin Mass and the Bishop simply called B16 ‘him’ in a press conferece. Hope he gets appointed to a titular see.I hope the Pope is aware of this. If not, he should be.
In remembrance of the historical Boston Tea Party. Now I thought a teabag was what you dunked in a nice hot cup of water…how on earth has it metamorphasised into some sleazy slang term
So my thread is evil and sinful now?I am truely wondering were tradtionalist on this site are coming from. Your are taking glee from the disobediance of the bishop?I thought you were all about pre-vatican II when the obsuluted obediance to ordinary wasn’t questioned.
The ordinary has the right to remove a priest at any time for any reason. His decision is to be resprected, disagreement handled in a civil way.
These threads that attack our ordinaries, take glee in thier falure are sinful and the work evil withinn the church.

The Boston Tea party has nothing to do with “tea bagging” becoming a sexual euphemism, Pro Vobis. In remembrance of the historical Boston Tea Party.
It was a slip on my part. If I now could, I’d delete that post. It probably shows the effect of hanging around with the wrong crowds. The Boston Tea party has nothing to do with “tea bagging” becoming a sexual euphemism, Pro Vobis.
Tea Baggers? I think not. Tea Party or Tea Party participants. Tea Bagger is a vulger reference used by MSNBC journalists to mock those they disagree with.Wow is right. Is this the Catholic equivalent of the Tea Baggers Party?
I don’t see were the Papal Nuncio did anything, but if you have link I’ll be happy top look at it.So my thread is evil and sinful now?Even though the PAPAL NUNCIO told the Bishop to back down?
The opinions against this bishop’s action are in line with Rome. I don’t think it gets any clearer than that.
Please don’t be judgemental. It’s very distasteful and can cause even more unwanted divisions within the Church.
The Vatican did take actionI don’t see were the Papal Nuncio did anything, but if you have link I’ll be happy top look at it.
Even if that is the case it’s up to the Vatican to take action, not for the faithful to take glee in it. If you are the same, then I stand by my statement.
The original blog from the UK is very one sided and also took great satifaction in seeing a “liberal” Bishop be opposed. Weather liberal or not the bishop is still in the line of the apostals and is due respect, not some kind of politacal rally and not in a church.

Look, if you want the comment removed, please be my guest and request it be removed. It won’t bother me one iota.Tea Baggers? I think not. Tea Party or Tea Party participants. Tea Bagger is a vulger reference used by MSNBC journalists to mock those they disagree with.
Didn’t mean to ruffle your feathers.Look, if you want the comment removed, please be my guest and request it be removed. It won’t bother me one iota.![]()
No, I managed to ruffle my own feathers.Didn’t mean to ruffle your feathers.![]()
I went back and read the post. The Vatican did take action
It’s my second or third post, the second article posted.
The bishop was out of line, and Rome set him straight. Just like other bishops have been out of line with Rome, and some became schismatics, so was this bishop directly defying an order from the Pope.
Things can only be fixed if the faithful spread the word for Rome to hear. Otherwise bad things can happen.
By speculating about Fr. Michel you are also speaking badly about the Church hierarchy.I went back and read the post.
It is still disturbing that so many want to celebrate first the distrespect of these parishers, any backing down he may at this point be doing, and the general glee of posters on this site and others.
The use of the EF of the mass was ment to give catholic another way to worship, to heal wounds. Traditionalist want to use it as a sign and a type of war cry to role back time.
Since from these very conservaitive post we can only get one side of the story, we don’t know how far this priest was pushing his ideas in violation of Rome, say trying to eliminate the use of the OF all together or teaching against Vatican II, I will continue to give the Bishop the benifit of the doubt.
For those who think his Holiness is rolling back the reforms of the council, think again. His actions have been to address some over zelious action as a result from the council, but the reforms went much deeper and wider than just the form of the mass.
Before the council, this type of uprising against a bishop would have been unheard of. It is only because of the reforms due to the council that the laity have any voice in church affairs.

I’m not bad mouthing the good father, just speculation since we don’t know the full story. He may be totally innocent, but for a bishop to take action, there seems there would have to be more going on than just using the EF of the mass.By speculating about Fr. Michel you are also speaking badly about the Church hierarchy.
Thank you for you prayers, but your assumtion would be wrong. I don’t dislike the Latin form it’s just not my preference. I understand the reasons behind the pontiff’s decision to allow it to be used, to try to heal some wounds a small poputaltion of the faithfull felt when it’s use stopped and to reconnect with the SSPX.I can tell you dislike the Latin Mass based on your posts, so I will just pray for you.
God bless.
But those were not the reasons that Pope Benedict gave in S.P. nor in “The Spirit of the Liturgy”I understand the reasons behind the pontiff’s decision to allow it to be used, to try to heal some wounds a small poputaltion of the faithfull felt when it’s use stopped and to reconnect with the SSPX.
And those other reasons would be?But those were not the reasons that Pope Benedict gave in S.P. nor in “The Spirit of the Liturgy”
