Dresses are just big shirts. It is pants that are marked for gender.
Are they? Not in every culture traditionally and not in ours at the present time. And in our culture big shirts, also known as dresses, are definitely feminine attire.Dresses are just big shirts. It is pants that are marked for gender.
and skirts are just unbifurcated pants (trousers for those not in the US).Dresses are just big shirts.
I’m sorry, I don’t think I really understand what you’re trying to say here and I definitely don’t understand how it related to my comment. What is the modern political point of view? That clothing and how we view it as masculine or feminine is cultural? Because that is what I was trying to say.Yes, that is the modern political point of view. Men tricked women out of all the good jobs and then prevented them from applying by keeping all the pants for themselves. “I could be a pipe fitter too, if I had pants!”, said no one.
Hmmm… I can’t say my experience has been the same. I’ve seen men in shorts and flip-flops and I’ve seen men in t-shirts with vulgar sayings on them. I’ve occasionally seen men in pants that are hanging so low that you can see their underwear, in spite of the belt around their upper thighs. I’ve seen men in baseball hats and the occasional cowboy hat.Men always dress appropriately in church
no they don’tMen always dress appropriately in church…
In essence, “I’m not an object don’t look at or talk about my body but I’m wearing revealing stuff so please look at and talk about my body.”Women take a good look in the mirror before you accuse any guy for harassment…
Extremely uncalled for. What a horrible thing to say.Her hair was very thin from all the dye, and let’s not forget her makeup…I’m sure it took hours to remove, if she actually did remove it! I then realized that I shouldn’t judge her because she probably was
going to her night time job after Mass.
