I’m in late middle age and fat and I have zero desire to be looking like some pathetic old cougar at Mass or anyplace else. Revealing clothes are an issue for the young.

That’s good that you cover. I don’t think you should be too hard on yourself with regards to how you have aged. I’ll have to face up to it as well in 30 years when I am middle aged.

I’d be super interested to see what our difference of opinion is on “scantily” clad is.

You mean for the young and cougars. Because old cougars dress like cougars 🙂

By that standard I could choose peers to support just about any behaviour without even looking for new people. It’s based on nothing but what people want to do.

You are not allowed to wear pants when you lector?
Who made that rule? It is certainly not a rule of the Church.

I’ve seen people suggest that sleeveless dresses (of the type women wear for professional occasions) are “scanty.” Because arms.

I have a feeling there’s faithful practicing Catholics on this board that will disagree with you…

How could he have made anyone dress a certain way? And I don’t understand what is so magical about women wearing dresses to mass. It may be your priest’s preference, but it is his opinion, not any kind of rule.

Can you please explain what you mean. I do not understand.

I do not know why such a Catholic should see a reason to disagree with me.

The skirt goes down to beyond the knee. I think that’s fine. Those sleeves are terribly short, though. They do not exist.

A woman should have sleeves.
