Sleeveless sheath dresses are a staple in most women’s work wardrobe. I would go to lunchtime mass wearing one and most women there were wearing the same (this was near Wall St).

I do prefer a little longer hem for aesthetic reasons.

Then there we go.

I and at least one other user disagree with your opinion.

That why when someone asked if they work a bikini to church to be scantily clad… I didn’t realize it was because arms…

I’d sometimes have a light cardigan or shawl with me, sometimes not.

My mother wore dresses like that to Mass in the summertime. As did the other women in the parish. In the early 60s.

So yes, I certainly don’t consider arms showing to be ‘scantily clad.’

Very well. One may have his own opinion…provided it agrees with the teachings of Holy Mother Church.

Good day to you as well, sir.

I’m sure there are…not sure how many (if any) I’d classify as “scantily” clad myself. I’ve been waiting about 5 min and the blog won’t load for me.

We have similar tastes 😃, though due to having “tuck shop lady wings” (flabby upper arms due to loss of muscle) I prefer 3/4 sleeves.

In some probably Orthodox synagogues, women sit separately from the men so as to avoid the men having distractions.
Traditionally, in Byzantine churches the women would sit on the side of the Theotokos and men would sit on the side of Our Lord:

When I attended SingCon 2019 in September, either the priest or the deacon (I forget which) directed all the men to sit on the side of Our Lord and all the women to sit on the side of the Theotokos. He said it’s beautiful to hear the women’s and men’s voices alternate in unison. If you scroll down to the vigil on Saturday night I think we’re sitting that way (you can tell by listening to the video): https://ugccmusic.com/

It’s not quite Father’s Day, and a few gents show up in shorts and sandals. Anyone for exposed ugly man toes?

Bring up a popular style worn by many and call anyone who wears it “class less, overweight, etc…” and we could probably get a few more hundred out of it. Oh, and mention something off topic like equal pay for equal work.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Too funny! And so typical!
