This is why interior disposition is so much more important than what we see on the outside.

I’m having trouble believing that such a woman would have been called to bring the offerings in the first place, if she was dressed that inappropriately.

Same here; that was my first thought as well.

AMEN! Very well stated…if in doubt…look at the attire of the men and women in the 1950’s!

In God’s presence…very well said. On one occasion, a young woman was wearing a jumpsuit that was extremely short. I was appalled! But then, I was really shocked when she went up to the altar as a “server”! Wow…anything goes!

I dress to be comfortable.
Sometimes it is leggings and a tunic top. Sometimes it is jeans and a top.
Sometimes a skirt or dress.
TBH, I don’t give a rat’s behind what anyone thinks of how I am dressed.
If I am covered and comfortable, that is all that matters to me.
If you want to judge me for not meeting your standards, that is on you.

Am I the only one surprised by how many people don’t like leggings or think they’re not appropriate?

Why server in quotes? Did she not serve the Mass?

like the ugly leggings.
Women are so obese now and that is the norm. What happened to the phrase…dress for the job you want not the job you have? Women just don’t have any self-respect anymore otherwise they would care about themselves, their appearance, their surroundings, and their self-image.

I’ve literally done this in front of my computer twice now.

Ever get that feeling when you read or hear something that’s so far out there you want to say something…but just can’t find the words because you’re so taken back?

ok…don’t want to offend anyone. I feel sad for those that just don’t care about their appearance. We are suppose to CARE…about everything! Life is a gift! One always admires a person who takes care of themselves. We all have the ability to be the best we can be…we can improve ourselves…it is never to late. Find meaning and purpose and work toward goals. Find Hope and maintain Faith. Enjoy the beautiful things in life…don’t be afraid to change! Your life is a gift from God…what you do with it is your gift to Him.

I take it you’ve never seen a “leggings and a tunic top” outfit, or you’d realize that the tunic top is generally very loose and comes down past the posterior, so all the stuff you’re describing simply isn’t “revealed”.

And where exactly do you get the idea that someone wearing a casual, yet neat, outfit for Mass doesn’t “care about their appearance”? We don’t all have to be dressed up like Mrs. Astor’s pet horse every minute to make a good impression or show we care about our appearance.
