Dutch Feminazis Want to Punish Educated Mothers

Sharon Dijksma, a leading parliamentarian of the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) wants to penalise educated stay-at-home women. “A highly-educated woman who chooses to stay at home and not to work – that is destruction of capital,” she said in an interview last week. “If you receive the benefit of an expensive education at society’s expense, you should not be allowed to throw away that knowledge unpunished.” Hence her proposal to recover part of the cost of their education from highly-educated women who decide not to seek paid work. Between 2001 and 2005 the number of Dutch women aged between 15 and 65 who were out on the labour market rose from 55.9 to 58.7 per cent. Dijksma says she wants to stimulate more women to join the work force. In the municipal elections earlier this month the PvdA became the biggest party in the Netherlands thanks to the Muslim vote. The PvdA is generally expected to win the general elections next year, when the 35 year old Dijksma, who has been an MP since she was 23 and is a leading figure in the party, might become a government minister.

Grrrrrr…this burns me up.
  1. education is NEVER wasted no matter what
  2. who do they think is starting their kids off with a good basis for further education, without costing society anything? maybe some educated moms?
  3. I try not to talk politics but this is what happens when the govenment gets too involved in private lives and people start thinking the state owes them something (or that they owe the state something)
  4. sadly we have the same attitude here, the only difference is that our government didn’t pay for our educations, necessarily. People leaving FT jobs to start businesses or PT work for personal or family reasons are sometimes thought crazy. Women leaving work to raise children are sometimes thought lazy and spoiled.
Actually though, it appears that they’re not just focusing on stay-at-home-moms, but stay-at-home women in general. Tender spot for me since I left “work” a while back to start a successful PT business and now I love that I have extra time to take care of house, hubby, self, and faith pursuits.

Sorry for the mulitple edits…I just remembered my mother’s teaching education was paid through a national scholarship program which required she work 10 years after graduation to “repay” the scholarship. When they became pregnant with my brother, thank goodness Dad’s income was such that they could pay back the penalty balance and let Mom stay home. Guess we had/have the same thing here.

Staying home raising children is the one of the greatest of professions.
No waste of time or education. She can impart her knowledge to her children as only a mother can.

As Bishop Sheen taught: Work was made for Man, not Man for work (which of course means women too 🙂 ) More evidence from the Dutch of the complete inversion of Truth.

This is what happens when you let the government pay for your education. They determine what you can do with it.

This is why I’m not exactly on board with school vouchers in this country. Sure the govn’t today may say no strings attached, but does anybody really trust them down the road, after we’ve gotten used to federal money, to not say hey Catholics, you need to lighten up on contraception or we are pulling your funding?

Ridiculous, idiotic…an education is NEVER a waste of money!!! I suppose they would prefer having illiterates raising the next generation!!!

Probably do. They probably think they are probably easier to brainwash:rolleyes:

I think that the title is a little inflamatory and goes against any number of forum regulations which only seem to be enforced periodically.

Common sense tells us that if the government provides education it has a right to expect some social production from that education. In the military they have a very similar system in the USA where the government is not as involved in higher education. If you study X number of years, you are expected to provide X number of years of service. To call this ‘Feminazi’ is a liitle over the top. The sheer fortune the western governments spend (except the USA) on higher education is a social contract. A woman who studies medicine for 8 years will have racked up a debt to the government (at least in Canada) for her education of nearly half a million dollars. It is likely higher here in Europe since tuition and other expenses are financed more by the governments of Europe.

Right, and nothing but utter stupidity would consider the occupation of bearing and rearing children as unproductive!

That being said, there is a difference between punishment and simply making someone pay for a product or service. Paying for ones own education is hardly punishment.

Plenty of company’s will cover the cost of tuition for their employees to attend classes. However, the company’s often will insist that if the employee resigns within X number of years after completing the coursework the employee is obligated to pay back a portion of the tuition. This is justice since you wouldn’t expect the employer to pay for the employees education just to have the employee move on to work for the competition.

If the government were to charge for the tuition PLUS penal fees that would be unjust.

Also, if the government were to charge for the back tuition for a stay at home mom, but were to let a woman who gets a law degree then works as a bus driver off the hook THAT would be unjust.

This dutch and western politics are suicidal, and they will have consequences.

You want to know what is truly ignorant? Believing that labeling people with terms like “Feminazi” is appropriate counter point.

Another reason to thank God if you are American in the good old USA! Hope fellow Americans defend our Freedom! Imagine being “punished” for having educated yourself! Guess we would have to find out who is going to dish out the punishment (fightin’ words!).

As a mother who has both held a paid job and reared 4 children, I can’t help but wonder how this person came to the conclusion that child rearing is not “work”. I think it took all the creativity, learning, and effort I could muster.

I can just see how productive these women are going to be. I have enough problems being motivated to go to work and i have to do it.I wonder how these compaines would deal with being told they have to hire people who don’t want to work?

You know they should all get jobs and get plaques for their doors that say…"You got a questions? Find someone who cares…or…“Hi name is Blank and i am being forced to work so go ahead and ask me a question… it may be correct or wrong…depends on how i am feeling today…or you want an answer ? go ask the government since they seem to have all the answers to my life”

This article might have a very good point.

I stopped reading at “Feminazis.” It’s not a term that make me think the poster has any interest in doing anything except calling names and spewing hateful and inflammatory rhetoric.

What makes you think it’s a hateful term?

If a person is promoting a Feministic Fascism, then the term is applicable.

Careful there etienne …

Because if those regulations were enforced as stringently as you would have liked …

Then those same regulations would most likely have already been enforced against you.

Think about it.😉

The poster, me, Buffalo, did not author the article or its title.
