Early islamic historians, how important are they to muslims?

Yes indeed Jimmy, but is Jesus asking us to drink water from a tap to have physical life?
Or water from Him to have a spiritual life?

Is it a life-giving element for our daily sustenance with our spaghetti?
Or a life-giving element for our daily spiritual sustenance through His Word?

.
You’re asking absurd questions Servant. Jesus is not asking any question, he’s giving us a parable that easily understood

And Baha’is are accused of not answering questions 🤷

Thanks for your time 🙂

When you’re done playing games.

Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. After trying to explain the Parable Jesus was giving … You ask " Is it a life-giving element for our daily sustenance with our spaghetti?"

You know how ridiculous that is?

Thanks for your time Servant.

So you agree, it is not a literal water springing from us?

Thankyou. It is indeed, allegorical, metaphorical, spiritual. 🙂

But Martin rebuked WC for thinking it was metaphorical:
Now I want to be frank with you. Why did you not respond to my queries about John 4? You’ve not answered how you left for 5 years and then say John 4 shows a metaphorical meaning when you also said you did receive Holy Communion. How did this change?
.

Dearest Martin and friends. I have trouble understanding simple instructions and things and tend to get lost rin a lot of detail. I only seem to be good at understanding the deep, abstruse, hidden and complex stuff but will absentmindedly stray off topic so please forgive me.

Peter couldn’t count I read somewhere but He knew Who Christ was so his outward scholarship wasn’t that important in the end.

Now for this one.

John 4:14

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

I’ve been drinking this water of life everyday from a fountain within myself for the past 40 years!!

Once I first partook of the waters of life then I found a well or fountain sprung up inside me that gives me everlasting life.

I have that well of the water of life within me at all times.

Thank you for what? I didn’t agree to anything. You’re making accusations

That water is the Word we partake of which in turn helps feeds the well of water that is our God within with Laws. We must let it flow from the well unconstrained 👍

Well now you’re confusing everyone.

Is it a literal or a metaphorical spring of water?

Come on Jimmy, why the anger? I sense anger towards me 😦

I rebuked WC? Hardly. You’re still focusing on one part of John 4 when it continues with Jesus who is supported by the Samaritans as the real Savior of the World. Follow the sequence. Do you even know why Jesus even talks immediately of her husband? There’s a lot going on, than just metaphors.

We don’t seem to be getting any nearer to a solution to the early Islamic historians problem. 😃

I totally agree Martin. Jesus WAS the Saviour of the world when John wrote his Gospel. But Christ, the Word, the Son IS eternally the Saviour of the world.

Do you see the difference?

Can we please continue this on the other thread?

FRIENDS, PLEASE, let us not deviate from the thread subject…

You don’t even know the difference between Metaphors and Spiritual. They are not the same.

How is it Islamic history if you are looking for someone before Muhammad came?

.
Because so far as Ive seen, Muslims claim Islam existed since the time of Adam.

Like this for instance: Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people

Yes, that is in heaven, not on earth.

History is the area pertaining to earth and time…

.
Âdam (Arabic: آدم‎, translit. ʾĀdam) is believed to have been the first human being and the first prophet on Earth in Islam.

Since you guys favour wikipedia. 🙂
