Thank you! I can’t wait to speak with you more through these forums and to hear about your confirmation.Congrats are in order for your baptism and conformation! :extrahappy: I know my journey is just starting but I can’t wait to be where you are! I have such a renewed joy in my heart! :extrahappy:
The one closest to you is normally your “home” parish, but it’s possible that it could be another one. When you get in contact with someone at whichever parish you called, ask them to confirm that they are your home parish. I just bring this up because like I said before, the head pastor at your home parish is technically responsible for you and your spiritual growth. He could technically refuse to let you get baptized or confirmed at another parish (highly unlikely that it would happen, but it’s always possible). Contacting your home parish now will save you some future headaches, and it is a courteous thing to do by keeping your home parish “in the loop.”Yes, that is what the SC stands for. I did do what you suggested and there are several parishes in my city. I had just found the one I called on google. So I should call the one in closer proximity?
That’s a good book to start with too. It was written by the same priests that wrote the Catholicism for Dummies, which is highly regarded.Wish I woulda seen your list before I went to the bookstore yesterdayI bought The Catholicism AnswerBook
