can you all believe it?? just one more week!!! wow!!

i absolutely am looking forward to this holy week leading up to easter vigil, i am going to attend as much as possible for holy week as i can. my 9 year old daughter is pretty excited too about being confirmed and taking her first communion. she is going to look soo beautiful in her communion dress with a veil in her hair. sharing this with her brings me more joy.😃

I am so excited for Easter vigil!! Around Christmas time I was so nervous about all of this, but as the big day draws near I am just so excited and totally at peace!

I’m welling up with tears every 5 minutes, it seems 🙂 I’m so emotional! But it’s all good stuff. Not only am I feeling the love of Jesus, but the love of my friends, my family, the ladies who attend RCIA with me and the church community.

Everyone has been so supportive of me - even people that I never imagined would be.

It’s been so amazing.

God Bless!

Here! Present and accounted for.

What a journey it has been. They almost lost me a couple of times. I had so many questions and issues to resolve. But here I am; Relaxed. Calm. At peace.

I am so ready for this. So this is what grace feels like. Pour it on.

My extended baptist family is freaking out. Let them. My quiet confidence has already drawn more curious questions than negative comments. Let them investigate for themselves…we all know where that leads. 😉

Congratulations everyone!

You know, I should be excited. After 8 (yes, 8 ) years of actively trying to finally get confirmed I’m going to do it this Saturday.

And, yes, there is a story behind it, but I’ll let that be told another day.

I am going to be baptised and confirmed at the Easter Vigil on Saturday and I can’t wait!

I still can’t believe that it is only 4 days away, this time has seemed like a long time coming and I am so excited it is nearly here.

I was Baptized as a baby but never raised Catholic.
I had my first Confession, Convalidation, and First Communion 3/20, 3/21, and 3/22. I’m getting Confirmed by the Bishop on 5/23 😃

I was baptized a Catholic and received my first holy communion when I was 15. The process took so long because my parents got divorced when I was 3 and it has been a bumpy road ever since.
I will be Confirmed this Easter as well and I am SO EXCITED!!! 😃

Lol! I’m glad I’m not the only one ready to cry at any moment these next couple of days. CONGRADULATIONS to you as well! Prayers! 👍

3 MORE DAYS!!!

THE WAIT IS NEARLY OVER!!! and a new beginning will emerge wow that is soooo unreal!!!

Congratulations, everyone!

I remember the feeling very well . . . and this will be one of the happiest days of your life!

Gosh, I also can’t wait nor believe it’s almost here. When we started RICA it seemed like it would be forever before we would be in full communion with the Church; and only 3 days to go now!! Whoohoo!

It’s been an amazing journey and one that, if someone told me even a year ago that I’d be joining the Catholic Church, I’d tell them they were crazy. Isn’t it amazing how God is calling His people back home!

:extrahappy: I was baptised last Easter and I can tell you that it was the single best day of my entire life. The whole experience was and has been incredible. I cried like a baby! I am so happy to see my brothers and sisters in Christ find their way to this beautiful faith. I can also tell you that there was a day when I said that it would NEVER happen and look now! Im still a baby in this religion but am so happy to learn and grow every day. Enjoy yourselves!
This will be the 3rd Anniversary of my Baptism into the Church. I agree with Barbi: the best day of my life. My husband was talking about something being the “best feeling”. I had to say that the feeling I had after my first Communion will never be topped in this world.

As for the crying, I had someone tell me it’s the Holy Spirit… and I firmly believe that. I cried through a very emotional retreat shortly before joining the Elect. I cried through Holy Week starting with an amazing presentation by the Knight’s of Columbus at our Parish on Palm Sunday… through the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Amazingly, I didn’t cry during the Easter Vigil… just smiled!

One of the things I remember most from the retreat was a speech that spoke about us not choosing, but God calling us. I can only add my welcome to His. Enjoy the day!

WoW Can you all believe it??!! Just ONE more day!!

I went to mass last night and it was just soo moving to me. It was beautiful!! I got choked up.
Tonight I will go to the fish fry with my husband and daughters and then to the Passion. I am really looking forward to that too.😃

Poor me i have catched a cold so i could not go to the liturgy of Good Friday anyhow the priest said its better i stay home so i will feel better on the easter vigil, to miss it because of a cold would be a disaster.

Peace

Hard to believe it is only 26 hours till Easter vigil for me.It will be amazing.

Dear friends!
I just came back from the vigil services where i was baptised and recieved my first holy communion.

I really cant describe the feeling, i am very happy but somehow it is hard to understand that it has acctually happened.

Now the real struggle begins, but a pleasant struggle and it really feels different to have acctually became a part of the body of Christ.

Many blessings to all of you.
