Over 100,000 police are African Americans.

I heard people opining, we never heard about all of this until Obama was president. I think this is just an agitation. We elected a black president 2 times, yet, there is such a problem with racism in America. Sure.

Systemic Racism and White Privilege, the latter term now, has been around probably for 7,8 years, we didn’t hear these before.

Obama’s presidency is not the first time Americans objected to police brutalization of Black people, and you can safely ignore anyone who would opine such a thing as they’re obviously very ignorant.

It is both. It affects blacks more, but still could be better for whites too.
Then racism is not the root cause. If we could get past that then maybe we could really address what needs to change in law enforcement.

Someone needs to specifically identify the systems, practices, requirements individuals are held to in order to claim systemic racism.

It has been illegal in the United States for two generations now for institutions to practice racism, except some colleges that discriminate against Asian and Jewish Americans.

If these specific systems, practices and requirements exist, they should be reported to the DoJ. They are illegal.

I honestly don’t think racism is at the root of this systemic problem.
I absolutely agree. I also don’t think race is behind the riots or looting. BLM is a Marxist movement. Antifa, is also a Marxist movement that acts in fascistic way.

You mean progressive Democrat brutalization of black people. The police in our cities have been under the direct leadership of progressive Democrats for decades.

Ignore that man behind the curtain.

Sure blame it on progressives. I think it is an American problem and this includes all Americans.
I don’t. I don’t think it isn’t a problem of 99 % of Americans.
We need to work together to solve society’s problems. Separating and being hostile to what we think as an adversary is counterproductive.
Let’s start by recognizing what it is not.
It is not about systemic racism. It has not existed in America for 50 years or more.
It is not about America being racist in it DNA. That is a lie told by those who want to agitate for political purposes.

Now, what is the problem.
  1. the destruction of the American family
  2. a growing prominence of the belief that government can and should solve all problems.
  3. a growing disregard for the sanctity of life
I speak as a Catholic. I don’t care about the labels progressive or conservative. I label myself as Catholic
That’s fine. Catholics aren’t the problem, either.

That is a horrible trend, because it reflects the fact that the media plays up the leftists, while the vast majority of American blacks are not racist.

I definitely think though, that those being violent, the intellectuals, the politicians who as the one article says, hijack this issue are doing much more harm than good. It’s hard to say they are not responsible for the destruction etc. associated with the protests. Increase in crime etc.

Oh, absolutely. When George Floyd was killed, this nation was virtually united in condemnation of the event.
Then the leftists hijacked the situation for their own political ends.
And who suffers? Inner city residents, many of whom are people of color, because of riots, lack of policing that leads to crime, and a reputation your article describes that is undeserved.
Bad cops hurt people. Leftists hurt many more.

Let me know when you find him.

Blacks commit violent crime at far higher rate than whites and disproportionate to their share of the population, just about every disparity relates to that in some way shape or form.

I do wonder how they scientifically compared criminal cases though. How often did they find the exact same judge, jury, evidence, prosecution, defense, circumstances of the crime, and defendants’ backgrounds with the only difference being the skin color of the respective defendants?
