Every life is of equal weight. Sorry to break it to you.
Yes, but 2297 *total *fatalities from volunteer military forces is not the same as the murder of 1.2M innocent children per year victimized by abortion.

The Border with Mexico like the Iraq war is the way it is by choice ! The Republicans use illegal aliens to push down wages and block increases in the minimum wage.
The Republican party has opposed every major Social program in the last 80 years.
Herbert Hoover wanted to solve the great depression with private charities and no govt. involvement President Bush while making a lot of War veterans .Didn’t want to care for them and tried to cut the Veterans budget. President Bush is a Big business for the rich Republican, its that simple.
What is simple, IMO, is that perhaps you should consider the idea that your knowledge of economics is a little lacking. And calling the president “big business” offers no examples of that. It just repeats the Dems mantra that they expect all of us to believe. Thank goodness some of us are smarter than that.

You may disagree with the programs that have been proposed by the GOP are faulty, but we have tried it your way for many, many years and it has been an abysmal failure. But you are welcome to your opinion, just as I am.

Abortion albatross plagues Catholic Dems

A “Statement of Principles” has been released by 55 Catholic Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives. The House Catholic Democrats who signed this statement—and 17 of them did not—are trying to convince the public, and especially Catholics, that one can be a good Catholic and differ with the Catholic Church on abortion.

They agree with the Church about the ‘undesirability of abortion,’ adding that ‘we do not celebrate its practice.’ What gives them pause is not explained, but one thing is certain: there is not a word in the statement that commits these Catholics to work towards a change in the Democratic Party’s Platform on abortion.

more

They still try to carefully parse their words to rationalize their support for abortion rights - no one who knows and practices their faith will buy into this sophistry. They say they disagree with their church on some issues - well this one is a whopper and disagreement with it effectively renders them not Catholic in my book!

Don’t be rediculous. Russia was the greater of the two evils.
So you wanted the Nazis to win? What exactly are you trying to show here?
I was using Germany to prove a point, and you use it to seem as if I have a “holier than thou” “naked hatred” agenda.
Your words, not mine. I’ve said nothing of the sort.
Either your short on brains or you suffer from schizophrania.
Gosh, thanks, how charitable of you. I assure you it is neither. How’s about you let me know when you want to stop being so insulting and want to debate instead? Meanwhile I think I’ll end this conversation.

Did I say that this wasn’t an evil?

Didn’t I leave you and your rhetoric in the Bishop Carlson thread?

Last time I checked Frommi, you do not have any special privilige allowing you to run off at the mouth. If you are gonna talk the talk, be ready to take what you get back!

It appears to me that they are desperately trying to find a formula that will attract pro-life voters without doing anything that would offend their pro-abortion financial base.

Amazing… the more I read what the Dems/Libs stand for… the more disgusted I get.

Thats why you cannot be Catholic/Christian and be pro-abortion… choose like your soul depends on it!!!

Then you must be very upset at God for killing millions of people every day and welcoming them into heaven.

Then 1.2 million must be 1.2 million too many.

Are you saying that the state’s right to execute Ted Bundy is equally as evil as my wife’s right to execute our unborn baby?

Different situation don’t ya think?

God is God…and the problem too many people down here is that we want to be God and determine when people die (or are born).

Let’s let God be God…and we can just do our best with life.

1 life taken at a time not of God’s choosing is too many.

Ahh…the “if you are gonna pitch be able to catch” argument.

Grotto, you truly post in a way that betrays the lack of understanding you have on a variety of topics ranging from bishop selection to the ethic of life…it’s quite impressive how you pull that off sometimes.

Not quite. Its all related to the deeper question of: is death, in itself, evil? I mean this in regards to post-resurrection theology of course. I can think of no other way to get to heaven then by death can you?
God is God…and the problem too many people down here is that we want to be God and determine when people die (or are born).
God’s Law is not arbitrary. He is not the parent that tells a child not to eat ice cream and then shovels it down when the child’s not looking.
Let’s let God be God…and we can just do our best with life.
Is “doing our best with life” preserving individual lives to their fullest extent or preserving human life as a whole?
1 life taken at a time not of God’s choosing is too many.
What evidence do you have of someone’s life being taken contrary to God choosing? Just out of curiosity…

God doesn’t choose suicide…or euthanasia…or abortion…or the death penalty…or war…

That’s are ego deciding that we should be God

Duh, is that a compliment? I ain’t got no lack of understandin’, I gots an eejeekashun. I never studied “bishop selection” like you have but I learned my “ethic of life” as you call it from the Catholic Church. Its not hard to figure out that a man and woman do not engage in the act of procreation because of selfish lust and then horrifically murder the baby God intends! What part of that can you excuse or defend?

Those who take their learning from “Screwtape” use your approach to pursuade others.

You won’t get a reasonable answer. Frommi suports the party of abortion. He cant really justiify that so all he can do is yell CAPITAL PUNISMENT, CAPITAL PUNISHMENT at the top of his lungs(while puting his finders in his ears) every time this inconvenieut fact about his party of choice is mentioned.

In reality i doubt if Frommi really has strong feelings about capital punishment one way or another. it is, for him, just an easy way to redirect the discussion anytime Democras and abortion are mentioned in the same breath.

Womb to tomb my friend…we have to support an ethic of life from womb to tomb. To call yourself pro-life and support things like the death penalty or war…well it’s partial pro-life, and its woefully inadequate.

So how many exections have you attened?? I have stood in prayerful vigil at a couple of dozen or. I also have thousands of hours of volunteer work at Crisi pregnancy Centers. How about you?

You say you are pro-life yet support the party of abortion (1.3 milllion children dead a year) while opposing the party that , for the most part, supports capital punishment, perhaps 100 executed a year. The mental gymnasitcs one has to go through to rationalize that is a wonder to behold.
