I truly grieve the lack of a sense of community (as a nation) which I perceive us to have.

I also think it’s time for a Coalition Style of governent – only because it would help prevent the monopolizing of the country by a single party, and might encourage less “extreme” positions on the part of individual parties, given the practical need to woo votes.

Pardon my negativity.
😊
I don’t think you are being negative, but making accurate assessments of our current situation. Sadly, the role of money and image consultants is unlikely to diminish since television, video and social media is so influential in shaping opinions apart from the issues… However, I am heartened by a growing weariness of the hyper-partisanship of recent years and hold out hope that we will pull back from it.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Florida voters rejected a proposal to ban public funding of abortion 55% to 45%

With approximately 97% of precincts tallied, Florida’s presidential race is still too close to call.

You are assuming all those bills are good. Just because the word JOB appears in the title doesn’t mean they are good.

Would you like to point out why Americans have to pay for other people’s birth control and abortions? Would you also point out why my fellow Americans will not pay for my next firearm when I clearly have a right to own it?

If you voted for Obama you are complicit in baby murder and you are putting your eternal salvation at risk.
With Romney/Ryan cutting back on entitlement programs to the other 47%, TELL ME WHO was going to pay for all of the medical, hospital services, doctors, malpractice insurance, any medical complication, food, clothing, housing education for an unwanted child born out of wedlock from a teenager with no education or job skills? YOU? Do you have that kind of money or does the taxpayers? Or, do we just let the baby die from neglect after it is born. I haven’t seen any proposals set forth in how over 1 million babies from birth to emancipation will be funded? Have you? GOP taxpayers don’t want to pay any more taxes and they want to cut programs right down to the core to reduce the debt!

Supporting the GOP is equally supporting genocide on the unborn by a Communist State Officials by providing taxpayer incentives, tax loopholes, off shoring of American jobs by corporate interests and creating a $255 billion dollar trade deficit making them extremely prosperous to keep the Chinese policy of family planning through abortion and contraception in place. I would also consider** that crimes against humanity** but the GOP hypocritically totally ignores that fact! Others don’t! **So which is the greater evil here?

You are not the judge of my soul only God is. I can just imagine what your response would be if you lived in Jesus’ time and saw Jesus talking to the enemy of the Jew, A Sumarian women at the well. She had five husbands and in today’s vernacular was shacking up with another. What did Jesus say? Did he judge her? Condemn her? He said something astonishing. If you knew who you were talking to, I would give you Living Water so that you may never thirst again…referencing the Holy Spirit. Then there was the women caught in adultery, a grave sin punishable by death. He who is without sin, throw the first stone? Is there no one left? No my Lord. Neither do I condemn you.

We should follow Jesus’s example and show the love of God to sinners in the world not judgement like the pharisee and scribes. He came to call sinners to Himself. Those within the church, you are allowed to judge but not those outside the church. Judgment begins in the household of God, First!

Reference to firearms is a Non Sequitor, it makes no sense. Beside, I believe the 2nd Amendment allows the fact that all bears should be armed…couldn’t resist 😃

Probably because you are an ex-felon, mentally disturbed and are not allowed to legally own a gun regardless of the 2nd Amendment. There are exemptions to the 2nd Amendment.

The much ballyhooed “gender gap” did show up in Romney v Obama results, with 52% of men supporting Romney but only 44% of women.

However, the gender gap pales in comparisons with age. The older the voter, the more likely to vote for Romney.

And the population size was an even bigger factor than that, with urban voters overwhelmingly siding with Obama and rural voters strongly favoring Romney.

With 100% of the precincts reporting, Allen West seems to have lost his re-election in Florida’s 18th Congressional District. However, it is a nail biter with a difference of 2500 votes out of more than 310,000 votes cast.

Thanks for illustrating my point: I disagree with a tactic, so I become the enemy. You can’t force people to behave the way you want, so that becomes my fault.

If tonight doesn’t teach the lessons that need learning, then I guess they just won’t be learned…
at least now people can see you for what you are.

That’s something to rejoice in.

Time to split into two countries, Leftopia and Sane-istan.

Leftopia gets the Atlantic coast from VA north, the Great Lakes states and the West Coast (and Hawaii).

Sane-istan gets the rest.

They only need to take Chicago from Illinois.

did you guys listen to Obama’s speech? I am getting really tired of his plagiarism. It’s as if he dissected a dozen speeches from popes and politicians and put them all together, not mentioning one of the original writers. Is he really that naïve to think that Catholics wouldn’t notice?
Can you point to at least one of the original speeches the President plagiarized?

Which is why we have the term"sophmoric". People gain intelligence with study, but wisdom with age. Obama’s popularity wanes with disillusionment. He will serve as a lesson to the younger generation.

Without a doubt. and a hard lesson at that.

After about 20 years Sane-istan will be a third world country that Leftopia will be sending aid to, which is pretty much what happens now. You should do a quick search on which states get the most federal aid.

Income redistribution (if that’s what you want to call it) can easily be seen geographically. The majority of red states are not economically sustainable and have to leech off the blue states. This isn’t an opinion, 20 seconds on any search engine will really open your eyes.

The mainstream media did so much for Obama. At least AP, NBC did.

A Republican would be thoroughly investigated over Benghazi by the press. Really, equal treatment should begin with our elected figures, I don’t know if that will happen.

He’ll get a free pass. I said this before just like you did: if he was
a republican, we’d have demands for him to resign.
However, because he’s Obama, he gets a free pass.

We can’t let him get away with the “internet video”
nonsense.

You know what…the right needs to get a few new slogans. The MSM, political correctness, socualist, etc., are tired and need to be put away.

Face it…your man lost all on his own, because the bulk of the people did not trust his lack of specifics on his economic plan. Bill Clinton nailed him over and over for that. He also failed to reach out to minorities because the radical elements in his party would have turned on him.

The Republicans had better change course, or they could become irrelevant on the national level in the near future.
