Paul Ryan was afraid of her, because she spoke the truth about “politics masquerading as values”. He is also afraid of real poor people and would much rather just make speeches than look them in the eye.

I’ll give you an example: a specialist medical practice in my area which was used to billing more than primary care practices (perhaps as much as twice), reacted to some insurers abolishing the consultation fee system (because of overuse/abuse by specialists) by adding unnecessary costs to their patients bills, thus inflating the amount due. So guess what now, instead of insurers overpaying specialists, the patients are paying hundreds extra $$$ for cheap over-the-counter junk that is slipped in during the course of a visit - with no explanation of the costs until the bill hits them.

Those are the kind of ‘business’ practices that have me rejoicing this morning that yes, there is a God who sees all.

I was banking on Nate Silver - whose predictions seemed almost too good to be true. But they were dead on. It was amazing.

If the president can step up, and get the American people behind him, then he will have the support he needs in the House and the Senate, after the midterm election. If not, then he will be a lame duck who can’t do much.

Assuredly I won’t vote in the midterm elections, but I will pray that Republicans keep the House to prevent a repeat of the years 2008-2010. An unfettered Democratic government will yield the equivalent of another ObamaCare.

So the consumer is buying things he doesn’t need? Isn’t it great that the government is stepping in to determine “need” for us. :rolleyes:

What the Republican guard need to realize is that when they persist on pushing an issue around which minorities mobilize (such as messing with voting regulations) they are doing the opposition’s work for it.

P.S. The concept of respect also demands that people are seen as people first and not simply as a voting bloc to be enticed with some concession or the next. IMO, Romney could still have lost even if he had promised immigration reform or some concession to black voters.

Messing with voting regulations backfired. Forced to stand in lines in some places as long as 7 hrs for instance in FL, resulted in a poll tax. A tax on their time. Though no one in America should have had to stand in such lines to vote, I give everyone credit who did so to exercise their right. God bless America.

Who said he doesn’t need it? The dear doctor says he does. What does he know? He never went to medical school. He doesn’t even know what the hieroglyphics on a hospital bill mean. That’s why he accepts a bill that’s three or four times what it should be, thinking that is the going rate for the services (not the cheap junk) that he received.

I am so ashamed of every fellow Christian who voted for this evil man Obama, who HATES true Christians AND our Constitution. Never have Americans been so gullible, misinformed, juvenile and unconcerned with the preservation of America for future generations.
72% of young Wisconsins, with fewer and fewer REAL job prospects, and mounting cataclysmic debt hanging over their heads, were duped into voting for this fiend who is hastening our demise.
IMO, thanks to Christians who have muddled our moral imperatives by supporting pols who abuse women (Clinton) and pols who preach class warfare and stomp upon their own faith (Obama), we have consigned our own children to a Banana Republic style life of swimming in sewage. I hope the extra bowl of pottage that Obama promised to you is worth it as you witness our precipitous decline. :o Rob

Agreed. The government is so good at identifying waste and excessive spending. :rolleyes:
