I want to make myself very clear. I have no animosity towards any CA posters or Barack Obama, for that matter. Once more, I say God bless you all. Congratulations on a hard fought victory. Because of my strong philosophical differences with the course Americans chose yesterday, I’ve simply decided to withdraw from the political process. I’m relinquishing my Republican Party membership and focusing my efforts on Catholic causes. Nothing wrong with that. I am Catholic, first and foremost.
Thank you TampaDave. Be assured I have no animosity towards any either. We do simply have differences on political philosophy. I respect your choice to leave the process and party membership. God bless you and each of us here as well. Peace.

A lot of Union members may say they are Catholic but they are another group that I think can skew the way the Catholic vote is represented.

just curious, how can one be so comfortable inferring racism to someone they don’t even know personally based on a single question posted on a internet forum.
Because to some liberals, anyone who disagrees with them is evil.

That’s nice, but I don’t really care what Europe thinks of US politics.
You may not.

Even though, I am an American, I am interested in the perspective of other cultures. It cannot be argued that Americans are better informed than Europeans in current events, world history, or geography. In comparison, the average American is nearly a dunce, compared to the average European. I like to know what Asians, Africans, Euros, Americans… and even Australians, think (they were 83% favoring Obama).

The European Union is an equal to the US economy and population. It does not always act in concert, but it can be a powerful influence in world politics. The two economies are closely linked. If the US does not recover, then Europe will not. If Europe does not, then the US will not. There is a strong incentive to cooperate. If the Eurozone goes into a deep double dip, then it is a safe prediction that the US economy will fall into the dumpster again.

The only division that counts is the religious one because Catholicism is a religion, not an ethnic stamp.

Most catholics vote exactly like the general population, even when Church teaching is involved, and that should tell you something.
CNN reported that 50% of Catholics voted for Obama.

The European are in a mess of their own making. And that’s their problem.

I suggest that since most of us prayed to God about this election, thanks are due to Him regardless of how we feel about the answer.
*I was thinking about something along these lines too.

It really, really, really sickens me that people come on these boards just to yank other peoples chains for whatever the reason may be instead of praying to God for guidance for everyone…we will never be able to really move forward with anything if we all keep taking this antagonistic aproach…it does nothing but provoke anger and hate and I do believe it is not right to be deliberately trying to do this to each other…
We should all be praying for each other verses trying to yank each others chains the way it is being done on this thread. what makes it even more sickening is you all sound like you are enjoying the pain and anguish you are causing each other…

They’re going to own the part that keeps more crazy stuff from happening because they’re going to sit down and do what the voters asked them to do yesterday. Resist.
Then it’s over the fiscal cliff we go…

Infants? I thought the issue was abortion and contraception. Are you saying that the HHS mandates allow elective late term abortions? I was not aware of that.

Hey simple soul, nobody’s keeping you from following your own advice.

Not for nothing, but reading here today would give you the same impression of some Catholics. Now I know that a lot of it is coming from a place of disappointment, but there are still posters calling other Americans evil, selfish, greedy, lazy…all because they voted for the “wrong” person.

The truth is, we have lost the nation. The question is, “can we restore it, or not?”
