Tensions are ramping up in Venezuela. Many nations shall be annihilated?

Oh, they’re here, all right. They’re just being subtle. I mean, we’re Catholics. We have dignity. We’re not like those evangelicals hootin’ and hollerin’ and setting dates. Just remember to keep your lamp full of oil and you’ll do fine.
 
That’s a question like the one about “the immovable object meeting the irresistible force.” By definition those two objects cannot exist in the same universe.

Likewise, the Pope is preserved from proclaiming or teaching heresy. There have been some in the past that have PROMOTED heresy, but they never taught it as doctrine.
 
I have an opinion on this “great apostasy” event that’s a little different. Our greatest commandments are to love YHWH our God and to love our neighbors. In my mind the “great apostasy” would be the greatest possible disobedience to those commandments. And (again in my opinion) that greatest disobedience is our building of massive arsenals of nuclear weapons, for if we truly loved our God and trusted in Him for our future, we would not have built these awful things. And the same applies to truly loving our neighbors.

So our great apostasy is already upon us and we are all to blame.

If you are compromising in the areas of faith and morals, then yes. Compromise is VERY bad. It’s like saying that it’s OK to take $10 from the cash register every so often, because it’s ONLY $10 and it’s not every day. To ignore or overlook someone’s immoral behavior because you don’t want to cause trouble, and they’re not really hurting anybody else, is one of the worst things a Christian can do. If you fail to warn someone that they’re behavior is leading to damnation, then the penalty for that sin falls on you. (Ezekiel 3:17-19)
 
I undestand, I was confused because in my native language (spanish) “compromise” (compromiso) is generally used only to express a voluntary obligation.
 
True , caution is well warranted

However, Revelation 11:8 is unambiguous…

The “Great City” which rides the Beast is where the Lord JC was Crucified

Only one city in all of human history fits that description

Hint – it’s not Rome

Once we all acknowledge that obvious fact, everything else follows from there

We could have the rest hammered out by the end of the day 😊

I’ve said this before: in my opinion the anti-Christ has already come and gone (none other than Adolph HItler.). It’s later than we think, and the advent of YHWH on this earth is sneaking up on us and will catch most of humanity unaware.

There have been what can be called “anti-Christs” as in, those who have opposed the Church and the teachings of Christ (Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Nero, etc.) but we have yet to see the true Anti-Christ, as in the one who will come just before the end of time. And the thing about him is that he will be well-received by those among and outside of the faithful. We won’t even realize it is him until he begins to persecute the faithful. And his reign will culminate in a new standardized religion, which we can see forming through the individualism, gnosticism and spiritualism rampant in our culture.
 
The scripture says the anti-christ will perform miracles–even causing fire to come out of the sky, and that even some of the faithful, if possible, will be deceived. I pray for the faithful of the generation who will be alive then: May they only know the voice of their Master, and not follow a stranger’s.

Dude, you can cover the entirety of the CCC section on the End Times in half an hour, provided you had a 15 minute coffee break in the middle. We’re not as imaginative as the Evangelicals.

Although, that movie that’s making the rounds now, “Garabandal: Only God Knows” has some end-times stuff in it.
