@quies

So “girding one’s loins” is basically making shorts out of a tunic?

Well, now the ancient times definitely seem to be very different to what I imagined before. 😄

Is something going to happen on the 18th, 5 days from now as I write this? Yes, BUT … Not necessarily something we’ll recognize as significant. Last year about this time, the seer in Akita Japan was given another apparition asking us to pray and offer reparation for the next 40 days, sounding rather like Jonah’s message to Nineveh. A few days after that 40th day, reports began to bubble up about a new respiratory illness sweeping Wuhan, China.
Looks like they are shutting all of our businesses down again… at least in the USA.

Look at the number of US hospitalized and dead back in April and May.
…followed by a huge shutdown.
Look as those two number today…like a black hand rising to eclipse April and May.
It couldn’t be stopped…not humanly possible.

I’m not sure I’m following you? What chart are you looking at? I’m not seeing anything like that anywhere?

Have you considered restarting the Preppers thread. ? It used to be very useful and very informative .
Honestly, no. I really, really wish I had archived the thread before the old CAF died. But my income levels have dropped since there was the old thread, and I’ve done nothing involving the prepper community or lifestyle since then.

See you all over at St Isadore’s… thanks Muzhik for your leadership…I’m an oftentimes lurker of end times and have gotten far more knowledge from this board than I could ever hope to contribute or repay. See everyone on the “other side”.

Another long time lurker who’s followed this thread for years. I’ve moved over to St. Isidore and hope to find you there.

I noticed something called the Prophecy of the Popes (or St. Malachy.) Pardon me if this has been discussed before, as I am new here. My observation is that his prophecy is poorly understood for two reasons.
  1. St Malachy had nothing to do with the writing of the list of papal mottoes, and
  2. The list was altered in 1624 making it useless to 21st century readers.
Fr. M.J. O’Brien wrote an analysis in 1880 in which he noted that the list of mottoes for popes prior to 1557 depended entirely on a papal history published by Onophrius Pavinius in that year. Mistakes that Pavinius made in his list of popes were exactly mirrored in Wion’s list, and where Pavinius was able to mention a papal coat of arms, Wion’s motto referred to that, but not elsewhere.
Fr. Wion seems to have used St. Malachy as a ruse to avoid being called up before the Roman Inquisition for the heresy of making an end of the world prophesy. That fact should not invalidate the 39 papal predictions which were not made after the fact and must stand or fall on their own merits.

to be continued:

This is an unapproved private revelation, and forum rules prohibit discussion of those.

Not to mention it’s been thoroughly debunked.

On what grounds? We know that Fr. Wion was the true author and that the first 74 predictions were made after the fact (and for a very good reason.) That fact alone does not invalidate his remaining 39 mottoes.

You might also be interested to know that in 1942 the great Pope Pius XII made a tacit endorsement of the list when he choose “Pastor Angelicus” to be the title of his autobiographical film.

Part two of Prophecy of the Popes:

In 1624 Fr. Thomas Messingham published a history of the Irish saints, and in the chapter for
St Malachy he printed an altered version of what Fr. Wion had written in 1595. The last two predictions were combined into one. Messingham’s version is the one that seems to have caught on. Every analyst (and there have been many) has used his version, and for that reason, everyone seems to think that the Prophecy has failed. Pope Francis is obviously not the “Petrus Romanus” of the last prediction.
But prediction number 112 (for Pope Francis) of the original reads:

In psecutione. extrema S.R.E. sedebit.
Properly translated: He will reign in the final persecution. of the Holy Roman Church.

This is something that we should hope does not come true. Perhaps its ominous nature has something to do with why so many seem afraid to discuss it.
