I guess the earth in the verse would represent the priest’s clothes and the works therein would be the priest himself 😃 . Yes, it puts a whole new light on the scripture, especially seeing as we are supposed to be the new priesthood and watching and waiting for his return.
 
what about it? have you been over to the back fence and followed end times speculation part 2?
 
Hmmm….Back Fence huh? That’s interesting, because “End Time Prophesies” is a non-Catholic Christian phenomenon. There have been many non-Catholic, Protestant, Christian groups, which have been based, almost entirely on “End Times”.

The “God TV” Channel for example, a non-Catholic “Christian” Evangelical group, spend much of their time talking about the end of the world….that is…. when they are not asking for money……

The date of 2012 seems to be the big thing now; I would like to hear what some here at CAF might have to say about the world ending in 2012, so I’ll know when I have to start packing my stuff… :whistle:

Moreover, I would like to know, how many here at CAF spend time researching or dwelling on “End Time Prophesies” and little or no time attending Church.
 
Unfortunately, many take the verses that tell us we won’t know the time of His coming to mean they should ignore any and all scripture that might warn us of this time of tribulation. Others have fallen into the trap of fearing being labeled a “conspiracy theorist” should they display an interest in the Biblical prophecies about our future on Earth. God included it in the Bible and, since God is all knowing, we should trust that it is something we should know and study along with the rest of His Word.

A red heifer will be required to be used in the process of purification described in the book of Numbers. In May 1997 the first Red Heifer was born in 2000 years. Another red Heifer was born in Israel in March of 2002.

If Jesus could not know the hour, why should I take anyone else’s word for it?

The 2012 thing is because Aztec or Inca or whatever tribe’s calenders end there. Even that information does not mean the world is ending, just that age.
 
Protestant reformed Harold Camping is back at it again. This time instead of 1994 being the end of the world its 2011 (almost 2012). He’s totally serious about this :eek: .

World Ends (Or Christ’s return) "September 29, 2011: Harold Camping, president of Family Radio is reported as predicting that the end of the world will occur sometime during the eight day Feast of Trumpets in 2011. This is an eight day festival each fall in the 5th day of Ethanim, the seventh month. I love Harold Camping when I have had a tough day at work I tune into family radio and listen to the Harold Camping comedy hour. it must be comedy no one could really believe what he talks about, could they? anyway I find him extremly amusing. And it was the Mayan Indians of South America that started the 2012 stuff.

Wow, I never heard of this guy. Here is an interesting link, which comments on Harold Camping.

Did he actually say that, ”NO ONE was saved between 1988 through 1994!"

There have been many Protestant, non-Catholics, who have attempted to personally interpret the Bible and who have claimed to know when the “world was coming to an end” and they were all wrong.

Yet, many here still don’t seem to have a problem with the false, non-Catholic, Protestant doctrine, which allows for “personal interpretation of the Bible”.

Now, why is that?
 
No kidding you never listened to him? I think it is a shame people take him serious, years ago when i would listen to him on the radio I would get so worked up I would be hitting the radio saying how could anybody believe this nonsense! now I find him amusing but am concerened about his listeners,they take his word as absolute almost like a cult , if you call into his show and present a good argument he will cut you off the air the name of his radio station is Family Radio and his show is The Open Forum , but it is only open if you agree with him, Calvinist type doctrine. take a listen BUT don’t take him serious

If God’s Son spoke to us “in these last days” while yet still alive, was it?

Mission accomplished?

New creation?

The old passed away?

2Cr 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; **behold, all things are become new. **

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Who is presently sitting on the throne?
