HAHAHA.

“I can’t. I’m fighting the Zombie” That is an EPIC line. Lol, Jack Chick was a comedic genius.

My fav Chick tract is always the one that is in the trash. That’s right, I don’t read them and have no interest in them. 🤮

Was “Debbie” a character in many of the tracts?

I guess I am missing something. What does she mean - “I am fighting the Zombie.”?

And he looks so nice and sensible.

Who would have ever passed by him on the street and guessed to what degree of lunacy he had sunk?

The world he lived in was absolutely nightmarish, and his conception of God was terrifying. Thank God that God is nothing like the god of Chick.

He was definitely paranoid but also could’ve been manufacturing a crisis for money. Only God know!

If he actually believed the bologna in his tracts (and all evidence points to that being the case), then I think it’s safe to say he was more than just paranoid — he was certifiable.

Debbie is the girl at the table playing Dungeons and Dragons. Marcie was a girl whose game character died in the first two panels or so. She lost her mind and then committed suicide because she couldn’t stand facing a life without her character.

Which is dumb because characters die all the time in that game. It’s implied Marcie called to reach out in her depressed pre-suicide moment. And Debbie was too busy playing the game to save her friend’s life. It’s also dumb because one doesn’t play Dungeons and Dragons alone.

Read this quote.

Hilarity ensued.

I think Jack Chick should be allowed into heaven after purgation, simply because of all the comedic relief he provided people — even if it was unintentional.

He’ll say, “Honestly guys I was just trying to help!” Patting him on the shoulder I’ll say, “Believe me Jack, you helped Catholicism more than you’ll ever know “.

The sad thing about Chick though is that many Protestant/Evangelical/Fundamentalist preachers used Chick to legitimize their own brand of anti-Catholicism. They would admit that Chick was ridiculous with his over the top claims, but that the real truth is … (fill in whatever anti Catholic toned down slander they would pass on)

I like Lily’s statement that her favorite Chick tracts are the ones in the garbage. Thumbs up lily!

Good point…

I have personally encountered Chick tracts on more than one occasion!

The same here. Those things have turned up on my front porch, in my mail box, under the wiper blades on my car, and on my desk at work (all the Catholics got them there) before I retired,

Ha, the Chick tract fairy must be delivering them.

Googling around trying to find an image for this comment for you @Milt, I discovered that Jack Chick was apparently not only anti-Catholic, but also anti-Tooth Fairy.

This guy was certifiable.

@adamhovey1988

I’m not sure, but something tells me that had the real Santa Claus encountered Jack Chick, Chick woulda been leaving a few teeth shy of a full smile.

I’m going to sleep, but I think there’s one in there where the Catholic church invented Islam?

Yep, and everything was caused by the Jesuits. Centuries before they existed…

They are just a continuation of the Templars and Illuminati. Haven’t you every heard of Assassin’s Creed?
