Is there any way one could improve the connection (we have high speed broadband) when watching it online? I mean, it just doesn’t seem to sync very well… and lots of buffering all the time.

Which is why I end up listening to Ave Maria Radio who hosts tons of EWTN stuff.

I doubt that Sweden will ever get EWTN on their digital cable. Hmm wonder if EWTN is on Sirius and if that’s a better choice for me?
 
Yes it is, just goggled it. EWTN was involved in my reconversion or coming back home.

I don’t know. I had the same problem here in Florida and I’m not computer savvy. You might think about getting a dish. I had to special order EWTN with our cable company. I reside in Protestantville and EWTN does not come with basic cable.
 
EWTN was HUGE in my journey home process. I had been watching it for about 2 years, starting with a program here and there. I became drawn like a moth to flame. At the same time I was researching the history of Christianity, starting with 20th century church movements, then going back to the reformers. EWTN spurred me on to continue my search backwards through time until I met the Early Church Fathers. The timing was perfect, and no doubt, not by chance! And the rest, as they say, is history.😉

I am forever grateful to EWTN, Mother Angelica and last but not least CAF, where I became more comfortable with the Catholic community and found courage to finalize my journey home!

Praise God. I know what your talking about courage on becoming Catholic. When I told some family up in Ohio about my journey, they looked at me has if I had 3 heads. I think if EWTN was with everyone’s basic cable, minds and hearts would change.

You know, it was my mother who started watching EWTN and told me about this nun who was really good so I started watching. Then we both started watching Fr. Corapi and really liked these Catholics who sounded almost Protestant (meaning Christian:rolleyes: ) and from there I was hooked.

Sad to say, since my becoming Catholic, my mother won’t turn on EWTN at all, she’s very upset, to put it mildly! ( it’s a long, long story 😉 )
 
Your know Jeanette, I think we can start our own “The Journey Home” forum. I love this show too. I would like to hear your story along with other converts.

Journey Home is the must see program for me every week. I get so much edification from it, like it keeps me going sometimes. It’s one of my absolute favorite shows. It was hearing the testimony of so many converts that really sealed the deal for me. I would sit in front of that tv week after week and just weep like a baby. I knew where I was headed and what it was going to cost, and I was not happy about it! But, unhappy as I was, I couldn’t turn it off either. And I couldn’t turn back, that’s just not an option when you want to know the truth, even if it’s in the very last place you expect!
 
I found out that God takes you places where you don’t want to go. Talking about weeping. I was watching the Family Celebration that was on this past weekend and everytime they show Mother on how she started the network, I cry like a baby. I thank Jesus for EWTN. He used EWTN to safe my soul.

I missed most of this program. I don’t have cable, so I have to watch over the internet and stick to the usual schedule that I know I want to see, I don’t always catch other things. I’m really sorry I missed this!

I’m going to go to the new thread and try to put my story there. ( a condensed version.😉 ) Love to see yours there also!
