Coincedentally, Eurosceptism is strongest in two of the countries most effected by the refugee crisis, i,e, Greece and Hungary. A few years ago a German EU minister made shocking comments about sending troops into Greece to collect taxes and liquidate assets. But apparently alot of people still aren’t offended by such talk.

I am sure when one leader talked about using nuclear weapons in the Crimea crisis, one was shocked as well!:tsktsk: Nothing like a double-standard. :rotfl:

I’m starting to see a pattern: Anti-EU, Anti-Israel, Anti-US, Anti-Nato. Anti-Saudi Arabia, Anti-Turkey.

Wow, we can make a check list of the bad boys and villains per some’s political views, it is certainly not something that has ever been seen before.

How so? What would a state militia accomplish in a situation like this that local law enforcement and if needed the national guard, don’t already cover?
If such a situation arose, whose side do you think local LE and maybe even NG troops would be on?

Again, what kind of situation are you suggesting that would require the use of a militia? Because you seem to be suggesting they’d have been of use during say the San Bernardino attack which is just ridiculous.

The topic is about what’s happening in the European Union, not the United States.

Since you attack Fox News as reliable yet, seem to lack knowledge on basic details if not even engaging in the principle conversation, I do take offense at singling out a news source for this mudslinging and a deflection. Attack the message and not the messenger iow. Prove it wrong or maybe we can set up a thread somewhere else to debate if Fox is so much worse than other outlets. Let’s see the citations.
🤷 Fox News is particularly fond of a certain politician, it seems, which does somewhat limit its trustworthiness, when at least attempting to approach the subject using limited agenda-based ‘journalism’.

So, respectfully, what about the questions or concerns I wrote in the rest of my posts, to do with dying refugees and political complicity in the plight of these poor people, due to inhumanely low-level responses, to massively widespread and intense suffering?

Thanks.

Why has a thread about the EU turned into a debate about Fox News? 🤷
Hi. 🙂 It hasn’t. Sources are important whenever any subject is raised. Especially Christian ones. So to question the validity of a source is standard protocol.

Thanks.
