My church will be having a Eucharistic Adoration for two hours and i was wondering what you do. I heard that you pray and meditate with God and just watch over the Eucharist, is this true?
You can pray the rosary any time with or without beads.Thank you and i have another question. I dont actually own a rosay but i plan on geeting one, so am i allowed to pray the roary wihtout the actualy rosary?
Confessions by Saint Augustine would be a great choice. It helps to have reading material if you are new to Eucharistic Adoration. Most of us have trouble just sitting still… and you can ask the Holy Spirit to inspire your reading.Thank you Tim for anwering two of my questions now. You said i could read spiritual books does that include theological books suck as confessions by Saint Augustine?
Thanks Grasscutter i will do that.
You hit a sweet spot with me. St. Augistine and I are close. I chose him as my confirmation saint after I read his confession.Thank you Tim for anwering two of my questions now. You said i could read spiritual books does that include theological books suck as confessions by Saint Augustine?
Thanks Grasscutter i will do that.
Nope. And in Perpetual Adoration Chapels, they always provide spiritual reading material as a matter of course. I will pray that you have a positive experience! :angel1:Ok so no one will look at me weird if i have a Bible and Confessions with me to read. Just to make sure.
I confess that I got through about one fifth of the abridged version of City of God and couldn’t do it. I think I switched to the Autobiography of Thomas Merton, “The Seven Story Mountain” instead. I don’t know any other works by St. Augustine. My confirmation saint was Saint Patrick … im sure you can guess why. Thank you for sharing the details of oyur confirmations name. Besides The City of GOd (which i plan on reading next) do recomend any other Saint Augustine books for me.
This is such a special time for me as it is one of the strongest pulls to my becoming Catholic! My church will be having a Eucharistic Adoration for two hours and i was wondering what you do. I heard that you pray and meditate with God and just watch over the Eucharist, is this true?
Oh, yes. It is normal. It is as if your soul knows how much it needs the Lord. His presence is so wonderful. He loves us more than anyone we will ever know on earth. It is an “unloading” of ourselves to Him so He can fill us. Don’t fight it…let Him in and tell Him that you love Him and need Him.Thanks for posting Miz and you said that you cried during the Adoration. Do you also do this during prayer, bcause after being away from the church for two years when i started praying again i stated to get very warm and i just stated to cry while i prayed.
