I am pro gun and pro life - my life and my families life. We get to live down here and decide what to do as things happen to us and then when we die we will have to answer for all of it.

Our ATF want to talk to the plumbers, electricians, and handymen you know! 😉
Umm I may have just put my own plumber and electrician in the poo with that post but they are both very resourceful and creative. 😃

SAVINGRACE. You said about firearms in America . . .
I would prefer a ban . . .
Why would you want to disarm our police who serve the public and face great risks:eek:?

And what about the Secret Service men and women who guard our politicians? Why would you disarm THEM too?

God bless.

Is that how you debate Protestants “who cares what you think, we are the one true Church.”
If a protestant says “it is my opinion that the Catholic Church should be banned in this country because ______ (fill in the blank),” then I will say the same thing; who cares what you think? Why should my natural, Constitutional rights be infringed because of what “someone else,” especially someone from another country who does not possess those rights, think?

We don’t change the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights, willy nilly according to the direction that the politically correct winds are blowing. What’s next? Freedom of speech? Freedom of religion? Habeas Corpus? Thanks for your interest but the opinion of non Americans deciding what rights Americans should enjoy is meaningless. This is my country and my home; I don’t care what non Americans think about it.

Don’t be ridiculous. Read my other posts as well.

Oh, so you only want to disarm citizens, and allow government to remain armed? Why?
If guns should be banned, then all of them should be banned. The vast majority of people who are killed with guns are killed with guns belonging to military entities of governments. Seems to me they should be disarmed first.

Let’s start:
Before citizens should be required to give up arms:
  1. the President and Congress should give up armed secret service, you know, as a good faith gesture that citizens no longer need them.
  2. the government guarantee that no criminals have firearms
  3. the government guarantee that no foreign entity that could harm our citizens has arms
  4. that our government at all levels has no arms.
Almost forgot, my 24 year old niece, who is rather petite, insists I include that, before she gives up her arms, men give up testosterone. 👍

What garbage. An unborn baby is totally innocent, created by the majesty of God. A home invader who storms you castle, is not innocent. He understands completely, that the next door he kicks in, might be his last, and is willing to take that informed chance.
Unless, of course, the next door he kicks in is a school. Schools are “gun free zones” (until he kicks the door in, obviously), and he has no worries. OTOH, teachers such as myself get to protect ourselves and our kids with a meter stick.

Well stated. 👍

He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”

— Luke 22:36

We have a Christian duty to defend others, and if we are responsible for the welfare of others, we have a duty to defend ourselves.

As I have children, I’ll take God’s advice on having a personal weapon to be able to defend myself and my family.

My family is made up of farmers and hunters. Hunting to feed their family, and using a firearm to protect their livestock from predators. So, are they going to be told that they cannot own guns for these purposes? They are almost all pro-life.
For those purposes yes, but most people are not farmers.

But see there one can say your using eye for an eye analogy. Well he has a gun I will to and we’re going to shoot at each other til someone dies. Not to much evolution there.

This post makes absolutely no sense at all.

It’s Jesus’ words so not sure why people are speaking against him? 🤷

Defending yourself and others is not an example of an eye for an eye.

Are you saying police officers are un Christian? That they are vengeance seekers? After all they carry a fire arm and use it when necessary to defend themselves and society.

SAVINGRACE.

You said you would favor a “ban” on fire arms America.

I asked you:

QUOTE:

Why would you want to disarm our police who serve the public and face great risks?

And what about the Secret Service men and women who guard our politicians? Why would you disarm THEM too?

You replied:

QUOTE:

Well I went back and re-read them and that didn’t answer my questions.

Please feel free to quote exactly to me what you mean so we can discuss it?

Do you want to disarm our police? Why or why not?

Do you want to disarm the servicemen and women who protect our politicians? Why or why not?

I want to know the principles of what you are getting at here please.

That’s bc your opinion and stance is different than mines. Had I said, “yes to guns bc the 2nd amendment says so”, you would of started a campaign for me for mayor.

What it is it’s just convenience.
