Always how many times have we said its not the scripture we disagree with, it’s your version. I could quote you the whole bible, but what good what that do. It is not the words, its the message. Why don’t you explain to us what those quotes mean. Because that would not work for you thats why. You don’t care what the message is, you just care about what you want to make the message to be. Just read a huge article from the Christian Science Monitor that Evangelicals will be gone within 10 years due to the fact they are too much into their Megachurches, and they don’t teach the truth from the Word of God.

Yep. To my horror, I discovered this fact above just a couple days ago. No wonder some of you say you believe the Word of God, but don’t act like you can read. Because you believe in your traditions and outside teaching MORE than the Word of God, even putting those things ABOVE the Word of God.

I seriously had no idea it was as bad as that! But it sures explains everything I had encountered here.

So in the Words of the One Who died for us, what does Jesus say about the Truth:

Sorry, CWBetts. Not gonna play your doctrine games. You either believe the Bible is the inerrant very Word of God, or you don’t - and are carried away by winds of different doctrine.

Since you don’t have an answer, I will tell you. The OT Canon was accepted from the Hebrew canon. (I know for a fact that they are in the Hebrew canon, because I told Jewish friend about the differences between the Catholic and Protestant Bibles, and i curious why the Deuterocanonicals were removed.) As for the NT, there were ecumenical councils. Thats right, the Bible was compiled under the authority of the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church. So if you accept the Scriptures, you must accept the authority of the Church. If you reject this authority, you have no assurance that your Bible is complete! You can’t have it both ways.

Hummm…for this to be TRUE to Catholics, where are Paul’s traditions of papacy, worship / adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in Heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture?

Quite the opposite, based on Paul’s words in Christ:

Not everything the Apostles taught in the early days of the Church are written in scripture. However, much was passed on bu oral tradition and appears in non-canonical writings. This does not make them less valid, because Scripture does not nale itself as a fianl authority at any point. In fact, going by Scripture alone leaves alot of balnks. For example, what kind of music is acceptible for worship? What songs can be sung? How often should we celebrate Mass? There are many others

Sorry Always, I am not going to “play your doctrine game.” You either believe the Scriptures or you don’t. For me, I will love and serve the Lord, following His Scriptures. You can continue with your traditions of men if that pleases you.
