Don’t forget Reagan. I say that because it was Reagan who invented," TO BIG TO FAIL."

Please don’t act like you are a sincere voice in this discussion. The feds have prioritized keeping people afloat and fed short term over longer term consequences. What the long term ramifications are we will find out. But few disagree that the feds didn’t need to do something to help people, and to speak of the “damage being done to the economy” as though these are just bad fiscal policies in a normal year in America is disingenuous. I am sure you’d love nothing more than breadlines before the next election, but that isn’t likely to happen.

You don’t know what you are talking about with what I want or like. As I see it that is your problem not mine since it says something about you. Not me!
I disagree that people “didn’t” need to be helped in the short run. They certainly do.
I guess I can identify a problem Conservatives perk up to and hear. Yes, hardship for people. ( That’s not it)
Crime( yup that’s it).
Obviously the very structure of the economy is at stake. Supply chains, etc. We are a Village, and it is becoming apparent again.
This has nothing to do with fiscal policy. That is an illusion no matter who is president.
The saying is ," To much praise when good and to much blame when it isn’t." Nothing changes in that regard.
Don’t be " sure" about things you know nothing about

Maybe we’ll get a new version this fall, where everyone lines up 6 feet apart.

My point is an industry can’t log into a website and doesn’t have a SS# or FEIN. People and corporations do.
Corporations? Then we are now talking the same language, of course they can weigh their collateral in getting a loan far better than the wait staff. With a garage full of 747’s that is.
Ciao’

And what better time in history for a loan, eh? Reiterated here.

Funny, I own a corporation, and don’t have a single 747. Just an Acura MDX and Toyota Sienna minivan with five car seats. I must have missed when they gave out the jets.

Bitterness and snark often do, “Denny”…
That has got to be very difficult for you, dealing with your corporation and 5 car seats to boot. I wonder where people find the time.

Bottom line Dr. is corporations can fair better with loans right now per this administration, it was foreseen and geared that way…to protect their assets, which are easily waged against collateral that can be up and running when this is over.

So thank God for what you have “Dr”…the guy making the coffee in the store room or the gal stocking the shelves living paycheck to paycheck more than likely doesn’t have that option.

Believe me, I am very thankful for what I have. My wife and I just finished a month+ long consecration to St. Joseph, and he has been a great benefactor for us for a long time. That doesn’t mean a company like mine may not need assistance (I do not at present). And most small business owners in my industry (intelligence) would need an SBA loan to simply make payroll. I could forgo making payroll and guess who that hurts? The employees who no longer get paid. You act as though a small business loan is going to be spent on trips to Turks and Caicos. Most of us are hopefully we will not have to rely on assistance, but if we do, it is so we don’t have to lay people off. If that bothers you, I don’t know what to tell you.

. Most of us are hopefully we will not have to rely on assistance, but if we do, it is so we don’t have to lay people off.
A loan isn’t assistance but whatever you do to not have to lay persons off is commendable, I wish you and yours the very best.

You’re welcome. This whole thing gives me anxiety, even a dem can worry just a wee bit about their 401K…and it was doing very well. Have a wonderful night…not that we won’t bump heads again, just that kindness relieves a bit of that anxiety. 😉
