The hits just keep on comingDon’t get me wrong. I am not saying that your interpretation is wrong, but I think we need evidence to support that it is right.
The “evidence” is Jesus.

No, I see the fallacy in yours and the Jews.I am assuming that you can see the fallacy in this reasoning,
You are using the text to estabish the factual correctness of the claims about Jesus. The hits just keep on coming

No, I see the fallacy in yours and the Jews.
Yes, what is the fallacy in that? Like saying the weatherman said that it would rain tonight, and then after it rained substantiated that it rained. You are using the text to estabish the factual correctness of the claims about Jesus.
And the claims about Jesus to establish the factual correctness of text.
Finally a direct answer. Thank you. A place to start from. I see some chipping away of the pride issue. TimYou don’t know yet then?
You are of course QUITE RIGHT!!you say it remains a wafer
Actually, I am saying that I don’t know what I would say. If you want to press me I guess would steal Russell’s line and say, “Not enough evidence.” But why would God even ask? Shouldn’t he already know the answer even bettter than me if he really exists?Ammonius
I said:
So if there is no way to prove that God does not exist, and it turns out that He does indeed exist, how do you think someone will fare who comes to final judgment having thumbed his nose at God all his life?
You replied:
I don’t know.
I guess you know that this doesn’t sound like a very intelligent answer, and especially as it is the answer of a person who prides himself on being intellectually astute enough to find no evidence whatever for God.
Are you suggesting that not knowing this is somehow evidence for the existence of God?
Not at all. I’m asking you the question because I want to see how intellectually astute you would be in the presence of God at the final judgment, since you have conceded the possibility that God exists yet you persist in demanding the proof that He has already supplied in his life and works through Jesus Christ.
You have offered no answer when you say “I don’t know.”
Your answer cannot be “I was a victim of invincible ignorance.” You seem to know too much about Christ and his teachings to offer that excuse for thumbing your nose at God.
I don’t judge you, but you have to know by now that if God exists, you will be judged, and you have not ruled out the existence of God.
So what will your defense be when final judgment comes? Will your answer be, “I went to Catholic Answers and they couldn’t satisfy my demand for evidence that You exist”?
I am still unclear how this provides any evidence that God exists.Ammonius

Yes, he would know the answer that is in your heart rather than in your head. And he would know the answer is not: “Not enough evidence.”
What would you say if after you died you found out Islam was correct and Allah was angry with you?
Well, since I don’t believe it’s possible that Islam is true, whereas you believe it’s possible that God exists, I don’t have to worry about Allah, do I?http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon10.gif
Actually, that is the answer. If the evidence was there I would believe in God.Yes, he would know the answer that is in your heart rather than in your head. And he would know the answer is not: “Not enough evidence.”
And what then?Actually, that is the answer. If the evidence was there I would believe in God.
What do you mean? And what then?
I mean, suppose you are presented with enough evidence that you believe in the existence of God. What then? What changes? What do you mean?
I don’t know. It would depend if there was enough evidence to believe in a certain position on God. Or if I had evidence that God wanted me to do specific things.I mean, suppose you are presented with enough evidence that you believe in the existence of God. What then? What changes?
And your evidence for this position?Look at all of the love in the world, love is from God.
(The hate and murder, that is from the devil.)
My soul. And your evidence for this position?
