EWTN Foundress Mother Angelica Dies at 92

May she rest in peace and receive the reward she so deserves.
 
May she hear from the master, “Well done, good and faithful servant”
 
She had so much of an influence on her audience. I now fear that EWTN is too “commercial” and that much of classic Catholicism, like Contemplative Prayer, are pushed aside and people are now getting a watered-down version of Catholicism that caters to mainstream viewers. I’m not implying that it’s evil or anything like that, but that it’s too mainstream for my spiritual needs.

She is going to be a saint one day. What a marvelous life she led! Through EWTN so many lives are changed, mine included. My conversion to the catholic church was brought about solely through EWTN, having known not a single catholic in my life.

She died on Easter, undoubtedly a holy death.

I found her during a period of doubt and frustration and her talks were like a breathe of fresh air. I, too, think she is meritorious of sainthood.
 
I loved Mother Angelica’s sense of humor.

My wife and myself watched her program all the time.

May she rest in peace in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ

I owe Mother Angelica such a debt of gratitude. She was a great influence in bringing me back to the true faith. I found the following Franciscan Blessing on the internet, I dedicate this prayer to Mother…

RIP Mother Angelica, a clearly joyous person devoted to love, truth, and with a great sense of humor! We are all better off for her courage and perseverance in creating EWTN. 🙂
 
May Mother Angela rest in God’s wondrous love, peace, and joy! Through EWTN and it’s many programs and outreach efforts many, many souls have been helped in an age that needs such help more than ever. I’m sure the Lord took her to himself on Easter so that she would know the joy of his presence on the day of his great Resurrection.
 
She loved the Church that Christ founded and she was a strong voice against the liberals.

I don’t know if the forum allows link to this Mother Angelica oldie but goodie - when she chastizes World Youth Day in Denver blasphemously portraying Jesus as a woman. She spoke unambigously and truthfully in defense of the truths of the Catholic Church. We can honor her best by not neglecting to pray for the repose of her soul.
